So I have had the same silks for like 12 years now. They were in surprisingly good shape until my last show where I not only got a "vanishing bandana" on them, but also some colored stains. I was able to wash them with woolite...but I think it is time they moved on.
The silks in question are a nice 'rainbow' blend from red on one corner to yellow to green to blue on the opposite corner. If I recall correctly I picked these up at a magic store that does not exist anymore. Could someone point me in a direction of where to find something to replace these. They are a big part of my show believe it or not, and all I can find are solid colored silks or multi colored patterned silks. Thanks in advance. |

Doing a quick web search I found maybe a dozen sites selling multi-colored silks.
I think you are describing this silk: http://www.vikingmagic.com/?nd=full&key=1405 Here is yet another version: http://www.lockfamilymagic.com/public/Vi......prID=246 You can buy it from them or check with Bob Sanders or Richard Hughes both here on the Café'.
The artist formally known as Mumblepeas!

Send me a small resolution digital photo or a more exact description and I may have something already made up. I have had to match unavailable Rice silks for some customers. Can't always do it but I'll try.

I have bought silks from Bob and Richard. Both offer great products and fabtastic service! Bob stocks a multi-colored silk, but I'm not sure it is what you want. I think it comes in 18". Richard has done custom dying for me and it turned out great! You won't go wrong with either of these two!

Thank you folks.
Harry, The silk found found is close...but not quite right. Mine is more of a gradient blend of color. It may very well do, in lieu of a better find. I appreciate your efforts. I spent about an hour searching for this and found nothing like that even. I have never been to or heard of either one of those sites. I'll get that photo up soon. Thanks again. |
