We went through so many eggs and by the time we had finished the kitchen at Foxes Manor was a total mess. There is a scene later on in the set when I am teleporting around the country with a magic coin and end up in a VERY odd situation. When you see it I promise you will laugh your head off. Craig |

Hi Everyone. I was in World Magic SHop yesterday and a working pro came into the shop and brought Attack of the Bag. He has asked me to post his review on the Café as he if having trouble joining at the moment. So here is his review:
Attack of the bag by Craig Petty Price: : £15 Difficulty: 2-4 / 5 ( depending on what you want to do.. its all about creativity.. but plenty of 2 & 3 effects on the difficulty scale with more advanced stuff if you want it ) (1=A cat could do it, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used, 4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only) Description The coin bag has been around for years, chances are you have one lurking at the bottom of a drawer somewhere. Craig first saw the coin bag about 13 years ago and having brought it he played with it for a little, then promptly forgot about it. Fast forward several years to when Craig was booked to work at a trade show for a company that sells magic tricks to joke shops. They wanted Craig to show their customers how to demo the simple tricks they had for sale to their customers. Because of this Craig tried to develop exciting presentations for hundreds of cheap tricks. The prop that attracted Craig the most was a coin bag - after playing with it all week at the show he had developed a number of moves that made several new effects possible. Craig has been using the coin bag now for over 6 years and it is something he uses in real world conditions all the time. Over the years he has developed over 100 effects with the coin bag and on this DVD he presents 9 of his very best routines. EFFECTS - Chop Bag - Piggy Bank - Coins In Cartoon Motion - Strange Exchange - Recorded Delivery - Wild Thing - Money In The Bag - Scofield Coins - Multiple Selections Review I had the pleasure of seeing Craig perform some of the routines possible with this earlier today. And I have to say it was simply brilliant watching him perform. I came, I saw and he conquered!! The change bag is very nicely made and specially designed for easy use. I have never owned a change bag and never much cared for one but after today I see the amazing potential of this thing. You actually get 2 change bags, in case you lose one and there is also a routine that uses both bags where the coins transfer coins from bag to bag. The DVD is well made and the explanations are clear and concise and everything is explained in fine detail. Craig goes to a lot of effort to make sure things are clearly put across. The routines themselves are very strong. ALL of them. I will certainly be putting them to some use and getting a lot of mileage from these, as well as creating my own effects. I don't think there is a need to go into every single effect. They are all strong and all show ways of making coins vanish, re-appear, transpose and do all sorts of magical things. There are also a couple of niuce sleights taught well which are used in the effects, although the sleights are by no means taxing. Overall Rating: Effect/item: 9/10, Quality of goods: 9/10, Value for money: 10/10 For a poxy £15 you get a lot, and you will have so much mileage from the change bag it really is a bargain. Whether a beginner or pro, the possibilities really are endless, you should really pick this up. NOTE In addition to these routines, I was also in a very priveleged position to witness Craig demonstrating a number of effects from his upcoming project. All I can say is the new release he is about to release is going to take the world of coin magic by storm. Im sworn to secrecy on this project, but I got a sneak preview and a bit of an inside look and the next project is going to be a bloody killer!! I kid you not!! The routines I witnessed were absolutely mind blowing and are definately workable in real world settings. I can't say too much more, but do get excited.. because if you are into coin magic you will love what's coming, and if you're not you will be!! |

I absolutely love this dvd attack of the bag, the routines are all workers and very commercial, I do not really have a coin routine to my act but have just added 3-4 routines from this dvd set alone to throw in my act at any point, it is nice to have a very powerful coin routine to you arsenal, yes all the routines on here are very good! however I personally like piggy bank, chop bag, money in the bag and scofield coins.
do yourself a favour guys and gals buy this dvd, you will not be disappointed. very highly recommended!!! |

Hey Thanks for the review Daren, I am really glad you like Attack of the Bag. Piggy Bank is one of my favourite ways to produce 3 or 4 coins, even if I am not planning on using the bag afterwards. I think it was Gary Jones and Christopher Williams that described Piggy Bank as a mini Misers Dream and I certainly present it this way. This makes it a great trick to perform in restaurants to tables of kids before their reactions get better and better with each coin produced.
Have you seen Flipped Out yet? Just curious as I wondered if you have what you think of the material in that. Any way thanks for your kind words and please let me know how the routines go for you in the "Real World". Take Care Craig |

I have had a lot of emails asking about more material so I thought I should let everyone know that I have just spent the last week in the studio recording a couple of new DVD's. These are going to be great. If you have Flipped Out and Attack of the Bag you will love these. Russell Leeds was also with me shooting his elastic band DVD at the same time and I got to see all the material up close. This elastic band DVD is going to be great.

After reading all the posts about the flipped out dvd I went to my local magic shop to purchase the dvd and what a bonus.
I was served by craig petty himself who was only to happy to dem some of the routines for me,i won't go in to details about all the routines on this dvd as this has been done already. I did find the background music was to loud during the performance section but having said that for £15 this dvd is a true bargain,if you can only add one routine to your workers list you have a bargain but with flipped out not only will you get at least one routine it will give you ideas so that you can construct your own routines. well done craig my only question is whose coins do you use for your routines lassen or schoolcraft ? |

Hi Warren,
Thanks for your kind words - it was great meeting you the other day and I hope you get something out of the material on the DVD's. Regarding type of flippers, I have both Jamie's and Todd's coins and I must say I prefer Todd Lassen's coins for my own personal use. I have several of Jamie's coins and although good, I do prefer the feel of Todd's coins and it is his coins that I normally use when working. Having said that for people that do not want to shell out on custom gaffs the coins in stock at World Magic Shop are also good and recommended. So anyway which routines are your favourites - have you tried any out for real people yet? Craig |

Hi everyone,
Both my DVD's have been very well received in the magic community and I am very happy with that. The review in Magic Magazine was good as well which was equally great. I have had loads of feedback from magicians around the world with nothing but praise for the content - however there has been one complaint. Many people have said they almost did not buy the DVD's did not show what was going on. To quote an email one person said - "There is a lot of running around and little else!" I know that a lot of people that would have brought the DVD's have not because they just don't know what they are getting. Every convention I go to I have people say they didn't buy the DVD at first because of the trailers but having seen the material live they will get it straight away. I really want people to make an informed decision on the product and not just take a leap of faith. I also don't want people to miss out on having something they will use because of trailers that do not show what is going on. So, to that end we have reshot the trailers to make it clear exactly what is happening on the DVD and help people see more of the product. I would love to hear people's feedback on these trailers and if they think these do a better job of explaining the product. I have attached a link to Attack of the Bag trailer below and will post the new Flipped Out trailer shortly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKSBanXc3u0 Thanks everyone Craig |

Hi Craig
I have both Flipped out and Attack of the Bag now. I just got "the bag" yesterday and got in one viewing between putting my child to bed and my wife calling down "John! Come to Bed!". Lots of people have put up reviews by now so I will just add some comments of my own. I bought Attack of the Bag simply because I thought that Flipped out was great. (I also was curious about those shoes.) Some of the things that I liked about both DVDs are: - The music is very nice - The locations are interesting and varied - The explanations are very clear and all my questions were answered - Two Coin Bags! - The clarity of the effects. Something more magicians should be aware of! Some of the things that I wish were better: - The sound on Flipped out - Some different camera angles - Happier audiences. Oh, forgot, they are Brits All in all a great pair. Who knew that there was an Egg Bag for coins? Great Work, I loved both of them. John
The real magic is family!

Thanks John.
I am glad you are enjoying both DVD's. I have found that a lot of people do not know what to expect when buying Attack of the Bag and are really happy when they see what the DVD actually is. You are right about the sound and camera angles - this was a decision the director made and it did not work as well as he hoped. It is also something we have really tried to improve with future releases. Regarding the audience - the problem was they were very tired. We arranged the performance shoot for one day and we did not get to start shooting till nearly the evening. That audience had been sitting around all day waiting to see magic and by the time Flipped Out and Attack of the Bag was shot it was coming up to 10pm. Luckily they are a great bunch of people and really enjoy magic (even if they didn't show it as well as they could have!). Finally thanks for the comments on the clarity of effect. This is something I strive towards and I am glad that someone has noticed. In all my effects I really want everyone to know exactly what is happening without any explaining. Anyway - do you have any favourite effects on either of the DVD's? I would love to hear Thanks again for the review Craig |

For anyone that has Attack of the Bag, I have been speaking to a very busy working pro called Pete Wells and he has been using the Chop Bag routine as an effect for children. He has managed to locate a fake gold pirate dabloon and a large version as well. He refers to the bag as a pirates purse and tells the kids that the bag is cursed and no matter how hard a pirate tries he cannot take the last gold piece out the bag. What's even better - he has wrote a rhyme to say as the routine is performed which is timed to the technical parts of the effect. I thought I would mention it here as it is a great presentation for kids and really is a clever idea.

If you already have the DVD's cpme on over and also say Hi, I would love to know how you are getting on. Also I have received loads of emails from people wanting to know about some of the future projects we hinted at on the DVD.
