I am another one who recently received the Silver Shifter, but I wanted to wait until I not only practiced with it, but also performed it in front of a few people before I gave an honest review. I have done both, and this is what I think....
What a piece of Junk!! I'm hopping on a plane to go down there and personally kick Steve and Keith's....
Kidding of course! Smile I just wanted Steve to spit some coffee out of his mouth while reading this!

Seriously now..its Fantastic! A BIG thumbs up!
I'll start off by saying I am not a pro, and I don't even do a lot of coin work. But after a night of practicing with this neat little gizmo, I even amazed myself...which is rare for me when I know the secret.

The Silver Shifter came neatly packaged, with a nice set of color instructions (with pictures) that not only explain the basic handling, but also a few extra routines provided by Curtis Kam and Peter Loughran.

Simply amazing is all I have to say. I'll be completely honest, not being a coin guy I was a little worried at first that this would be something a little over my head to pull off in front of real specs. But after playing with it for just a short time, those fears were soon put to rest. Trust me when I say this..If I can do it, anybody can!

After a few days, I felt it was time to give the Silver Shifter the final test in front of a few real specs at my work. I used a slight variation of Peter Loughran's "Liberty" routine (thanks Peter) and I had jaws dropping all over the darn place. With Peter's routine you can do a few more things that really add icing to the cake, and I was also comfortable using Peter's handling of the coin too.

As others have mentioned, the possibilities of the Silver Shifter are endless..I think Reed McClintock has already developed 320,000 routines with it already! The key is to find out what works best for you, and of course...practice, practice, practice!

Well done Keith and Steve for a great new product! The only thing I would like to see added or available in the future would be a book or video of a whole bunch of routines to show the full potential of the shifter. Bending a coin is only the begining folks! Wait until you see what else you can do with it...You can actually..Hmmm...but as Hammy Hampster used to say.."thats another story."

cheers Smile

Glad you liked my "Liberty" Routine! I have a demo of that I filmed, I can give you the link and password, and you can check it out for a visual aid reference.

Cool! Thanks Peter! Smile I've PM'd you with my regular email address. The email I have listed here was set up because I was getting tons of spam (must have been spidered), and since I didn't check it that much it was deactivated.
Actually I live in Mississauga, but I go to a pub close to you (in Whitby) all the time...Leepers Landing Smile..the best chicken wings I've ever had!

cheers

Ah yes Leepers Landing, and don't forget the Tap and the Tankard...lol

I pm'd you the link to the password protected clip. It's my pleasure although it sounds like you don't need any visual aid.

Anyone who buys SS and does need a visual aid when learning the Liberty routine, I will be more than happy to show the clip to you.

Thanks again Peter. Yes the Tap and the Tankard right across the street. Leepers has better chicken wings, but the Tap has better chicks! Smile

I've heard this before but what kind of other effects? Are they all similar? can you post a few examples?

thanks

Way to many to list I think...lol

One thing I came up with that I use alot is you show both sides of your hand to be empty, and then you begin to wave your open hand palm side up back and forth and your spectators see a coin visibly materialize on your palm. Looks incredible and easy to do.

Another favorite is I take a coin and visibly, and slowly push the coin into the back side of my hand. The specs can actually see it going right into the flesh until its gone. I show the hand empty, and then turn the hand over that had the coin pushed into it and either reveal the coin already on the palm, or I reverse the push effect and pull the coin out of my palm slowly and visibly, as if it went right through my hand. This kills.

I could go on but then this post would be a long novel.

Get it and you will know what I am talking about. Once you take it out of the package all kinds of ideas will pop into your head before you even read the instructions, well that's what happened to me anyway.
