I never said it was my decision to make. And you'd be surprised how many people do look up effects on Youtube. I'm sure some exposure videos have hundreds of thousands of views. I also think Ellusionist was really interested in this to face their competition, Prophet at Theory 11.

Just ONE question though...the gimmick that comes with it and will "last a lifetime"...is this something that, if lost or damaged or whatever I could make a new one myself or would I have to get a new one from Richard??

I just bought more gimmicks from Richard. They are cheap and works better than some other items I used..

I just posted this over in "Best Effects of 2008" and thought some might find my patter/reasoning for Extreme Burn helpful--

"Fiber Optics make me want to jump rope again... I mean get back into rope magic. Serious great handling by Richard...

I do not buy effects, dvd, etc... and after dealing with a project with E and seeing some reviews of Extreme Burn, I had to see that. My name is "Rich" and I enjoy effects with money.

RICHARD SANDERS is the man. Period. I'd say he has the two most versatile, practical and visual stuff out this year. I have a flexible story about investment yield, the economy, doubling your investment... I count, one, two, three, four, five... flip them over and count 6, 7, 8, 9, 10! (as a bit of a joke and with some style and attitude like I just shared the secrets to the most guarded thing in life) - Then bam, right when they think I was joking... I have a hundred bucks. Love this practicality, especially with my angle of us and name.

If you have trouble finding crisp bills, here's something that has worked for me.

Take the best bills you can find, and get out your iron and some spray starch. US bills are linen and cotton and with a few layers of spray starch you'll be pleasantly surprised how crisp and new-ish they come out.

Just received Extreme Burn and watched the DVD. I had pretty much figured out the gimmick, but EVERY time I watch one of the changes, I'm simply stunned by how gorgeous it is. It really is what magic should look like!

Can't wait to get set up and practice!

Mwah to Richard Sanders!

(Are lay-people starting to recognize this trick?)

Will this work with plastic currency? Australian money is plastic.

I havent read all the 19 pages,I just ordered my extreme burn so I don't really havea an idea about how it works but,as every bill has a different colour here,I am thinking about turning blank papers into real bills, just like the idea many people came up with but I think writing the amount of money on the blank papers would be a great addition I think, like you can write '5 dollars' with a marker or pen on blank papers, pretending like they are youre money and ta-daaaaaa,change those into real money.

I just came across this clip of Doc Eason performing Extreme Burn, he has an interesting presentation especially suited for these economic times:

I love this effect.
I wished we had same sized bills in our country. I don't like changing from plain paper..

I live in Europe and we use Euros. Different bills have different sizes and different colors. So I bought a kind of paper almost the same color of the 1 euro bills and printed monopoly money on it. On one side of the monopoly bills I put my own face. So I change monopoly money for euros and get great reactions.

I really enjoyed reading the Aspen Bar Magic issue with Doc Eason. He sounds like a cool dude. So, this isn't a personal attack.

But, in that video Doc's handling was very shockingly sloppy; you can clearly see he had barely practiced the moves. (his get ready was painfully slow and the "underground" change he did was slow as well)

Anyway, his presentation with the kitschy-drawn $10's did nothing for me. In my opinion I would have gone the route of doubling your money by changing $1's into $2's. Or, go all out and do $1's to $100's since it was just a one time demo video.

I do like changing $1's into $10's because of the very visual color change you get from going from green to orange. Sometimes if you just go from green to green it takes a beat for them to realize it changed.

Best,

Just to set it straight... and maybe I should have the ultimate taxi re shoot it...I had just started playing with it when Jon shot it.. since that time I have performed it a thousand more times.. it is hopefully a lot smoother..and that flash doesn't happen these days. I have done away with the funky 10's in the corners.. ones to hundies is the way to go.. that being said, if you don't want to tie up all that money, the funky 10's provide a little comedy and still allow you to do that startling change. Extreme burn is in my mind a perfect trick. I like it much better than its predecessors. That little something extra makes all the difference in the world.

I thought it just showed what a perfect trick this even with a "flash" it's a layman killer and negates the need for any other version
