Probably obvious answer to this, but...
I reckon we're not talking about ironing the gimmick, right, as it would create a mess due to the... ?

Go on Monopoly website: http://www.hasbro.com/games/kid-games/mo......ametools Download the file on the right side of the screen. Goto to a printing store and match them up with the exact size of your money.. Change green Monopoly 20's to real twenties!! You will get some looks when pulling out and trying to spend Monopoly money then freak them out with real cash! Works great for kids and adults!

Title: Extreme Burn by Richard Sanders
Medium: DVD with required item to make gaff Arena: close up, parlor Available: Any shop, distributed by Murphys Magic Supplies I can’t remember all the titles but over the years there have been releases of routines on changing bills from one denomination to another. All the ones I’ve seen look very good and from a magical stand point this is a great type of routine to perform. It uses every day items and visually it is just stunning. Extreme Burn by Richard Sanders is a DVD of a version that is beautifully visual and gives multiple methods of using the gimmick to make the change in the bills. The basic effect is, as said, you openly show a number of bills, you can use sheets of paper if you want, and then in a blink the bills have changed in full view to another denomination. Dai Vernon would be proud of that description. The DVD is very well shot and the sound is top notch. For some reason I always have issues with the authoring, if that is the right term, on the menus when it comes to Richards DVDs, it may be me. I just have a problem navigating the menu or DVD at times, in this case I would get what he was explaining and click to next chapter and nothing ever happened. That is far from a deal breaker as this is the best DVD on this type of effect I’ve seen and I’ve seen most of them. On Extreme Burn you get to make your own set up, a special item is provided that is incorporated into the building. The items used to make the gimmick can be found on a trip to the office supply or drug store and other than the bills the materials will only set you back a few bucks. You can, of course, make up a practice gimmick and not use bills at all. The instructions are very clear and Richard does an excellent job in his explanations. I actually enjoy making gimmicks and as long as you work slowly and with a bit of care you should have no problem at all making up the gimmick. It should be noted that the bills you change from and to must be the same size, you may be able to trim bills down if in countries that don’t have the right size bills. While you can use other paper to make up the gimmick, a change from coupons to cash for instance, the material bills are made from, in the US at least, are perfect because they are flexible and are tough, being they are actually a cloth. Experiment if you want but I do suggest going the bill route. The instructions on how to do the different switches, again, are really well done. This is one of those effects that even though you know how it is done you’ll be fooled, it looks that good. Follow what Richard says, listen to his tips about the small details, and you’ll soon pick up the knack in doing this great routine. You get nine methods of doing the change including Richards original release “Slow Burn”. Which method of doing the change is best depends on you and your performing situation. Some work better face to face, others kill surrounded. I could find no fault with anything Richard taught or said and to be honest I went back over the set up instructions because some of the changes looked so good I couldn’t believe it was the gimmick explained being used. You really have to see this to appreciate how good it is. I think this routine would work for strolling, table work, and I’ve put together some routines for use in trade show type effects. For those of you who are into the impromptu style street assassin magic this would be great for you too. Think about it, you walk up to pay for an item and it comes out to $56 bucks and you pull out five dollars. You show the clerk the five dollars and then say your spiel and, viola, the bills change to twenties and you pay for your item. You’ll get the reaction and attention you are desperate for. This is just a great effect and you can’t go wrong with Richards version and handling. I continue to be impressed with Richard Sanders and his releases and I can’t imagine anyone not being happy with this effect. Very well done, excellent magic. |

I had Extreme Burn for a while and made two gimmicks since the purchase. I modified it a bit with the "Prophet" design to make the change faces-to-faces. I have been having fun performing this. The gimmick makes it easy. The smack change needs to be practiced but the other changes are fairly easy.
Great DVD.

Extreme Burn is one of the most visual and high impact tricks you could ever do in walk around magic. Its in my top 5 all time and I am not sure how the other versions could really improve on this. I do tend to do it with 4 bills instad of 5 just so it doesn't 'bunch' up as much. Great effect!
