With permission from Devin Knight, The Ring in Light Bulb effect is being released with a brand new method, high tech features, devilishly clever method and explosive finale!

This topic was posted several months ago and got pretty decent feedback. After months
of improvements and filming this great effect is finally set to be released on March 1st, 2008 !

Here is the basic routine:
The magician borrows a ring from an audience member. He then makes some comedic
remarks about the ring's quality. As he does he notices a few minor scratches. Being the courteous chap that he is, offers to buff out the scratches with his polishing cloth. While he attempts to repair the ring with a handkerchief the ring is seen to visibly vanish in the magician's hands. (no ring flight used)
Almost as instantly as the ring vanishes the small table lamp 10'across the stage is seen to flicker on and off and finally a burst of spark and smoke explode from the top of the lamp shade! Clearly the light bulb has blown out.
The magician check's out the situation, as he does he (bare handed) removes the light bulb from inside the lamp, it appears to be burnt out, this is obvious because of the severe burn marks and cracking along the bulb head. He carefully hands the bulb to the audience member who loaned the ring. The magician hands her a handkerchief so she may be able to break the bulb and examine its contents. As she does this, she looks through the broken glass and finds. You guessed, her very own ring! Scratch free of course.

$750? Maybe I'm being groggy and having a bad day, but I think in the specs eyes there's no difference from this than say the ring appearing on your shoelace, like in Interlaced.

Even if I wanted to do this, get a DH, put aluminum foil under a lightbulb, turn it on with a remote and blow the fuse, and do the same thing pretty much for the cost of a DH.

No, I'm not a "serious performer"... but come on.

If you blew a fuse the way your suggesting. Then you'd have a serious problem on your hands. This explosion uses no electricity, which would be extremely dangerous. Not only would you risk ruining the lamp after every shot but you would not be able to accomplish getting the ring in the bulb if you destroy the bulb. Or risk electrocuting yourself when removing it.

The kicker with this effect is you can see the ring INSIDE the light bulb. Granted the performance online is not shown this way, but that video is being edited and will be up very soon.

Remember, everything is electronic, meaning it runs on AA's, and uses no electricity. Each one is designed for the professional entertainer willing to perform a pyro effect even with today's strict guidelines.

And remember what you're getting with the effect. The price is much lower than most electronic operated tricks out there. For example, the Jumbo Sidekick, or the Remote Control Drawing Board, Ultimate Dancing Hank, etc. etc. This item is far below most items out today. And comes with so much.
