Have owned both this and Supreme Slate Of Mind. Absolutely no question, Supreme is the far better prop.

Although I was keen at first due to the initial rave reviews, I too do not like the fact that with Astor Epic all six fields cannot be shown at the same time.
Can anyone compare Supreme slate of Mind with Lefler's Supreme Mental Epic. The Pros and the Cons. I have started Fresh thread requesting response to this question, so kindly post your input there. Many thanks. Jonathan

PS: I ended up purchasing Supreme Slate of Mind from a fellow Café member. I look forward to receiving this great effect. Reviews have been very positive here on the Café, to date.

One issue that has not been asked about is the one that concerns me most. The fact that it worries no other seasoned magicians may make my concern not as urgent as it seems to me. - I have seen some version, I am not sure which, in which the prediction and the written out spectator's choice appear in the same handwriting. Exactly the same. To me, it doesn't matter if they are written in different colors, if the handwriting is as exactly the same as, say, a photocopy, the jig is up.
If I'm off the wall here, don't hesitate to say so. Thanks. Alan |

I agree (allan nasser) --not that you are off the wall (lol), but that the writing should not match between the upper square (the prediction) and the lower square (the audience's thought of number, object, etc.).
Even if duplication "is not" the true method, identical writing (or writing that is "almost" identical) provides the audience with an inviting garden path to travel down. Instead, their brain needs to be short circuited... or they should be thinking, as Spock would say..."this does not compute! " Hence, a miracle has occurred!! Just MHO. Jonathan

Alan, you have a very valid point.

Glad you found it helpful Ustaad.
Jonathan PS: How about the back side of a Mental epic --could it be used for a grand and Final prediction? Or something humorous? .... More food for thought?

How about Mikame Mental Epic Board--no force at all.
Very well made from hard wood and easy to handle with the magnetic covers. Ricky |
