I just moved here to Winchester, Virginia. I am looking for some magic here. So far in my search, I have found that the closest magic club is about 1 1/2 hour away. Can anyone enlighten me with more opportunities in or near Winchester? I live closer to the West Virginia line. Any one live near? I am just going crazy not meeting with people to talk magic. Sure you guys understand.

Thanks for the help!

Shane,

I guess you found either the IBM Ring in Alexandria or the SAM Assembly in Fairfax, as they're both about an hour and a half away from you.
There's another SAM Assembly (#224) listed in Martinsburg, WV. That should only be about a half-hour away.

I just Googled "winchester va magic" and found this:
Incredible Flying Objects - Toys, Gifts, Hobbies and more...
Located on the Old Town Walking Mall in Winchester
9 N. Loudoun St., Suite 105 Winchester, VA, 22601
540-678-9993

The site says they have toys, games, magic tricks, juggling supplies, darts, RC supplies, and novelties. You may want to ask around there.

It's a bit of a drive, but you're welcome to join IBM Ring 50 anytime. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month in Alexandria. Our Web site is http://ibmring50.blogspot.com/.

Also, be sure to come to our upcoming Magi-Whirl, March 28-29, at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria - http://magiwhirl.homestead.com/ You might meet some local magicians from your neighborhood there. At the least, you'll have the opportunity to see some great lectures and performances!

Welcome to the area!

Regards,

Jason
