I recently used Looch's index at a convention for the Magician vs. Mentalist card effect and it worked perfectly.

I like it because it is simple and can't go wrong. (Also because mine has my name on it! Smile )

Got mine. That's it then, all the old cardboard squares, sliced pespex CD covers and platic hotel key cards (with accompanying rubber bands) have now been chucked out. This is a GREAT, robust little tool.

Thanks Drew, coming from you that means alot. Theres been some fantastic feedback by all on LPI's

These could be made from metal yes but I wouldn't recommend it, the dual core thermoplastic Laminate is sturdy and lightweight, they should last a lifetime if looked after.

Okay, look, I have nothing to gain from this. I actually BOUGHT mine - gee, thanks, Looch! But I realised the powerful effect that can be had from a b****t i***x (and particularly with the "Tantive Load" mentioned in the accompanying booklet) which I used, though had never given a name. It really does create a remarkable effect on the audience. I mean, get this. Envelope on open view. Participant calls out an item. The envelope is opened. Inside is another envelope, and inside THAT is a piece of paper with the very object he mentione written on it! Come on... they may know about nw's and TT's but this is pure suggestion. NOTHING else will explain it. Nothing.

BUT b***** in**xes let you down. They do. However, the LPI is "incredibly" well made. Robust, and designed in such a way that it just sits there (the engraving means you know which way round it is and exactly where everything is.) It's my new best friend.

I used it in a recent TV spot that I do and the effect on my subject was astonishing. (And I use techi stuff worth hundreds of pounds that can't produce that effect! It's simple. well-made. robust and it works. I cannot recommend it enough.)

Okay, I give you my word I have nothing to gain from all of this. But as a working pro, I think that mentalists often miss out on the simple things that produce real results - and p***** in**xes are just not in fashion just now... Until you see somebody use one! And if you're going to use one, you're going to want one where you are not left hoping that you have it the right way around, that it hasn't moved in your pocket, that the rubber band/paperclip/string hasn't come loose.

I recommend giving this a try, I really do. I would suggest that ANY serious mentalist should have a serious B*****t i***X

So, just so you know... you can get them by Paypal from looch@looch.co.uk. There are a few versions: version 1.1 holds 10 - £25. version 1.2 (holds 15) - £30 (this is the one that I bought) and youcan even have the engraving personalised - I THINK it's another £5 for that. Oh, and shipping is free in the UK (don't know what it is abroad, but you can probably find out on the web site.)

Anyway, enough of that - I'm off to fry some more people with my new toy! Hardehardehar!

Drew

PS anybody else got one of these yet?

Can somebody give an outline of the routines included please? And how practical are they for strolling?

It would also be useful to know if I would need the larger one for most of the routines or if the standard one would be ok.

Also Looch, what are the delivery times on this? If I wanted mine engraving, how long would it take. Also, will it be possible to buy these on your website?

AP.

I wont give an outline of the routines purely because once the premises have been outlined, thinking about it with the use of an Ind** makes the booklet pointless. Plus its a surprise Smile The routines are designed for strolling since a high percentage of my work is just that, and I USE them in my performances, that's a guarantee. I wouldnt sell them if I didn't use them myself.

I would recommend the version 1.2 because some of the routines will be easier with this model as opposed to the 1.1 Having said that you can still perform ALL routines with the 1.1

The delivery times vary. I hand make each one and its the Christmas period so mail can get slower. But you should receive yours within a week, 2 max. I'm ordering some more booklets from the printers tomorrow to cover demand.

Heres some quotes from people who are using them in their performances:

"When I received two of Looch's new pocket indexes, I couldn't believe my eyes that they were personalized with my name! Getting beyond that, these devices are surefire and completely practical. Any effect where you need to index between 10 and 20 different slips can be handled efficiently and neatly. I tried them out in the real world and they work great!

My highest endorsement of this new product."
Richard Osterlind

"I have long searched for a perfect billet index, finally the search is over, Thank you"
Lior Manor

"A well made tool, and more importantly ready made, with a plethora of possibilities"
Marc Salem

"I would suggest that ANY serious mentalist should have one...Its my new best friend"
Drew McAdam

"Looch's LPI V1.2 is in the top 3 utility devices that I've ever bought"
Iain Dunford

Can't find it on your web site. What is the cost of shipping internationally or is that included in the price

Just a quick message, there is a weeks waiting on these now due to the high demand and a new batch of booklets being printed up to satisfy that demand. I would imagine that early in the new years the set amount will have een reached and I wont be making these again. If you are sat on the fence, time to make your minds up Smile
