Any of y'all got what you thought at the time was a dumb gift but it turned out to be something you ended up enjoying?

I'm sitting here right now typing this with Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Slippers on and they are giving my feet the Big Hug.

Also, one Christmas I bought my friend a Genuine Lakers Warm Up Shooting Jacket and he gave me a set of Plastic Hubcap Spinners. The best part was that he was serious. I put those things on the next Summer just to humor him and ended up having one of them stolen and replaced(by the thief) with a genuine Toyota hubcap. That made for a great beer drinking story.

I once got a car scraper with a mitten attached to it.
I wish I still had it at 6 in the morning when Im scraping my car for work.

I Put it away and two months later I was working on a project that required securely sticking two things together. While I was pondering out loud what I should use, she reminded me, "I gave you a glue gun for Christmas, why don't you use it!"

I did. And enjoyed it so much, I started gluing everything in sight - scouring the house for other items that needed a shot-o-glue from my new "toy" to repair it. I even glued a few things that didn't really require gluing! Thank God the cat laid low for a few days! LOL!
