Hey guys, iv been working on flurious for a while now, but I'm not quite sure where it belongs or how to get into it presentation wise in a platform or small stage act. any suggestions? or do you all think this is best as a visual quick opener?

If you're strong, in close up
Parlor is good too.

I'm not really sure Flurious would benefit from a strong presentation; you really don't want to distract them, since it's such a visual item. I'm rather fond of the way it's usually done. As an opener: Good evening, my name is _____ and I'd like to start off by showing you a bit of magic with this old coin. Go ahead and take a look at it, that's a silver dollar from the turn of the century. I realize it can be a bit hard to see in this lighting, so I'll make it bigger just for you guys... As a closer: I'd like to leave you with a bit of magic using just this one coin... |

I used to do half the routine (I called in Flour...) at the end of my opening coin effect. This was on stage. I've got video of it somewhere.
Take care, Ian |

I do flurious in close-up and I finish by th alternative handling with the jumbo chinese coin.
The big jumbo coin is difficult to carry. A kangoroo pouch is I think the best device for this. You can find some others very interesting routines in his lecture note: copper silver continuation
