Ok - that's a lie. But I started this list I'd like your help finishing it!
LEATHER STYLE BANDS - Old faithful watch with strap, holes and a pin * Leather Band - Once the most common - now slowly going out of fashion * Plastic Band - As above but with plastic or rubber band that can flick back if pin is not clear * Double Hole - Has two lines of holes on the strap. Often very wide band. * Canvas Band - A band made of cloth or canvas. * Texture Band - One of the above with a textured band e.g. alligator leather. ROLEX STYLE CLASPS: - The band makes a complete loop that is tightened over wrist. * Standard - Unclasps easily but must be slid over hand. * Standard with safely - A second clip fits over the clasp that must be removed first. * Standard with button - Two buttons on either side of the clasp must be pushed before opening. * Double clasp - watch is unclasped in two directions. http://www.ewatches.com/media/Watches/Clasps/dcp_1.gif * Combo Rolex - A combination of any of the above clips. ALLIGATOR STYLE CLASPS: Usually metal but come apart into a strip like the leather style watches. * Standard clasp: Clips together via a metal clasp that folds back on itself. http://www.ewatches.com/media/Watches/Clasps/bba_1.gif * Push Through Clasp: The flexible band is pushed through a metal clip which is pushed down sandwiching the band. * Combo Push Through Standard: A metal clasp AND a push through design. EXPANDABLE BANDS * Metal - Metal with a spring inside. Stretches off. * Elastic - A watch on a piece of elastic. A very crappy watch! MISC BANDS * Box Clasp - A clasp is push straight into a hole on the other side, expanding inside and holding fast. Comes off with a single button push so often has a safety http://www.ewatches.com/media/Watches/Cl......lasp.jpg * Lobster - A jewellery style clip not until a ring flight. I don't know a method. http://www.ewatches.com/media/Watches/Clasps/lcc_1.gif * Toggle clasp - like a duffle coat! I don't know a method. http://www.ewatches.com/media/Watches/Cl......lasp.jpg * Clamp bracelet - The watch band is made of two spring loaded C-shapes that hold around the wrist. No clasp and therefore the easiest watch to take! http://dyn-images.hsni.com/is/image/Home......279912?$ * Velcro watch - Band is made of velcro! I don't know a method. * Steam Punk - Are for real? http://www.eager-beavers.net/images/074.jpg |

I think Nick has outdone everyone here.
The one that Nick did not mention are the watches that have the leather band watch strap though that is an illusion and actually the watch is a rolex clip over the wrist one. Anyone seen these? There are common as people like the leather band watch look though want the security of the rolex type. Great post Nick. Once again when you list things, you tend to list them all! Ha.

A saw a double band today. It was a square of leather about 6cm x 6cm with a watch mounted in the middle. It was held in place by two separate leather bands. I can only assume that stealing this watch would take twice as long as a traditional leather band but still be relatively simple.
I believe it is a fossil. |

Crooked Pin Leather Band: This one stumped me today! It has a flat pin which is so crooked that is almost makes a Z shape! The band is very thick and so the pin is also invisible. I couldn't undo the watch and so I snuck a peak and the watch LOOKED undone when it wasn't

Here is a little video of me stealing a watch.
I completely lose my place, forget my script and become quite confused shortly after taking the woman's hand. What should have been a 5 second steal becomes a 20 second steal! But the audience still gets a kick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyRTPAG6i9U |
