Cuba is maybe the only exception...But I think we can buy Cuba cigar in europ. Don't know if there is a embargo or not .
For Iran, for the moment, there is no problem I think. But not sure that it is a good deal to buy in Iran, because it is far from your country. For europe, it is easier. I have asked , one day, Tora for the price of shipping for an illusion (just to know, I don't have bought it cause I don't like really the look and the colors etc...) and shipping by air is incredibly low cost, and very quick ! Not surprinsing why Tora sells so much illusions to dealers here, and eventually reproductions of illusions! |

Stephane_arnow,
Just so you know, the US currently has a total embargo against Iran (similiar to Cuba), so an American citizen doing business with a company located within Iran could be in big trouble with the US government. Don't go getting yourself arrested -Erik (day 13)

Oh, ok, sorry I didn't know for the embargo. But I am in France, so no problem (for the moment lol)
For the rest, in USA you can buy to a dealer of this builder. But I think there is very best to buy in USA. |

It is true it is illegal to get products into the US from Iran. Some big magic dealers have products confiscated and narrowly missed being fined $10,000.
This is a serious matter and I urge all SAM and IBM members to contact their groups to voice their opinions. As for advertising revenue, I know for a fact that the Linking Ring, when Phil Wilmarth was editor, rejected two or more pages of ads per month from a dealer who had numerous complaints against him for ripping off items. So money does not always wag the tail. Richard

All,
Are the illusions at the top of the page tora illusions? http://www.maxello.com/ I don't think that the Café would allow them to advertise here if they were knock offs, right? BTW- The photo of the ZZ must be doctored. There is no possible way that she could turn the conventional way from looking at that photo. BYUDAD |

Tim,
Okay, now I am mad! Why are they advertised on the Café? They clearly make and sell knock offs and bad ones at that. Thanks for the info. BYUDAD |

Again guys if this bothers you that this illegal stuff is being advertised in your magazines and such, let the parties that be know. Just because it is against the law I guess doesn't matter.
I was contacted by this same individual wanting a couple of my products. Since one of my products had already been ripped off by his firm, I questioned what assurances I had that these products would not be ripped off. I never received a reply. That is one reason that I sell 99% of my products directly to individuals. If you buy something expensive to have something unique and exclusive to your act, you are not going to let someone copy it and make a cheap copy. Unless you are crazy. They may eventually get my products to copy but not knowingly directly from me. Richard

If you let the parties involved know you are not happy then don't use the legal approach as they will simply say... "It is NOT illegal." We will surely lose any argument based on law. Instead approach them from the ethical stand and ask their position on THAT matter. Best, Tim Day 18 P.S. Thanks for the clarification BYUDAD. |

The simple fact is here in the USA it is illegal to send or receive items from Cuba, Iran and I forgot the third company. It is clearly posted in the US Post Offices. I just saw it today when I shipped.
