If I made a magic-themed soap for my natural soap business what would it smell like? Any magical smells out there?

Any idea what kind of cologne David Copperfield wears??

Depends. It could smel of stale sweat, make-up, cheap deodorant/perfume and rabbit/bird droppings with a hint of gin/beer and a touch of fear!

Or maybe it could change smells as you use it.

It could be orange soap, but magically produce a banana smell.

How about that smell that theatres have? That always reminds me of magic.

If you were going to kid yourself, it could smell like money!!

OK, so not too many useful suggestions,

Sorry Ellen (by the way, absolutely love the soaps!)

I've always thought that the smell of sandalwood evoked a magical atmosphere. It always brings to mind images of pyramids, ancient relics, dimly lit antique shops, etc. I'm not sure how sandalwood would work for a soap though! (I'd buy it, however).

Growing up in Corpus Christi, Texas I spent all my free time and money at the Fun Shop store. Despite the name, they carried more quality magic than gags/masks etc. Gene and his wife owned and ran the place in the Downtown area. I love that part of Downtown C.C. I'd make my stop at the shop, spend eternity there, walk a block to one of the several catfish/fries in a basket joints, head off to the beach just 5 blocks away and spent the rest of the day there.
Coincidentally, my mother met my father a couple of blocks from there before I was born 35 years ago. Mom was shopping for a dress with Grandma when she met that Sailor.
I regret not having asked what that "smell" was! It was great. As Chris mentioned above, the theatre smell is unique. The shop was much like that! I wish I could describe it for you andersonfan. Whatever it was, it caused you to loose track of time and money. I'd rather have my hands and body smell like that than "ocean breeze" by Dial.

A magical scent?

Is there any way to get something to smell different...near vs far?

Oh, I get it... it should have two different scents on the bar, like the coin gaff. Smile
