I have been presenting a book test which I call Page of Thoughts. It uses unfaked books and the particular routine I use was inspired by Double Vision.
Mentalists who have studied the routine have been particularly impressed and not seen this working before. I do not want to contravene any rules in The Magic Café and am not a dealer, just someone who has enjoyed, performed and written on mentalism for many years. However as a gesture of goodwill to those who read Penny for Your Thoughts, I am prepared to offer the instructions and supply the necessary at a discount (the effect does not cost a great deal anyway) or provide a bit more information. Just PM me. Page of Thoughts is also fairly versatile, can be used in other book test routines – including in almost impromptu situations – and does not require the spectator to write anything down. |

In a follow up to one of the questions I have received, what I supply is a detailed routine and the 'necessary,' you supply the books.
The books you use can be on any theme or current best seller(s) and in any language. I use travel books as they have plenty of interesting info and some pictures - and as mentioned, in coming up with the routine I use, I was very much inspired by Double Vision. |

Many thanks to all who have contacted me about Page of Thoughts.
In answer to some of the questions, it can be used on a one to one (I have performed it quite a few times in close up situations) and is perfect for a larger audience. Also I have been asked about the versatility of the method and it could be possible to use it in certain magazines eg Readers Digest or the UK publication The Countryman. Again the real strength is that the items used are normal and so free from suspicion. |

I really enjoyed Neil's idea.
What I like about this is that it makes a certain technique common to many booktests, quite easy. I stated this elsewhere on the Café, but sometimes great solutions are hidden in plain sight (I mean they are so obvious, that you hit yourself for not thinking of it). Neil has done applied just such an idea and I appreciate him sharing his idea. Thanks Neil! Sean |

Thanks very much for your comments Sean which I really do appreciate.
Also, having been brought up on the writings of Al Mann, he always included a bonus effect in his manuscripts. With the instructions for Page of Thoughts I will also be including a bonus - and the necessary - for a prediction effect and one based on a well known scientific principle. Neil |

Thanks to all who have expressed interest in this book test. In answer to some of the questions, I do actually send the written instructions with the necessary needed to perform and it is not an electronic download.
