How does this sound:
Do a standard Sword thru Neck routine, but when the sword comes out the other side, it's all bloody. When you pull it back out, it is still all bloody. When the stocks are removed from the victim, there is blood on their neck at the entry and exit points. You wipe away the blood, to show no wounds. (Obviously this has to be done on someone with short hair)
There are many different ways to cut an apple.

Perhaps add a blood capsule, or add blood before you put the sword back thruogh. I dunno how to get the blood on the back of the neck though. Perhaps line the *proper" slots of when the sword comes out with blood?

A bit of stage blood on your fingers as you are aligning the tip of the sword with the slot, and slide the sword in. As for spots on the neck, it could already be on the stocks when they put their head in.
