Any word on Ackerman's Expert at the Card Table DVDs? Or does this take place of that?

This is a post that I Put in another topic about Wesley James Expert at the card table DVD's. It seems to fit better here in this topic as it is about Ackerman's EatCT DVDs coming out. I hope this helps those asking about this set. I know I can't wait to see it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unbelievably enough, At my local magic shop a few weeks ago, I met a wonderful gent by the name of Rob. Rob, Stan (The proprietor of the shop) and myself stood and talked for what must have been at least three hours. During this time I watched Rob perform some awe inspiring things with a deck of cards. I mean..This guy was really great! One of the best I've seen. Anyway, During our conversation, He brought up the fact that he and Ackerman have been close friends for years and he also brought up the new DVD set on Erdnase. This was the first that I had heard about it and I asked him quite a few questions. Apparently Rob was actually there for part of the filming and had seen some of the finished video. All he could really tell me was that he thinks its going to be a great interpretation of the classic work and will defiantly be something that I should pick up if I love the book. He also said that he knew that filming had been completed, But couldn't give me any kind of a date as at that point Ackerman didn't even know himself. (What with post-production and the like). He did say that he was sure it would be out before the fall. So more than likely that means before the holidays. From as enthusiastic as Rob was telling me about this I can only assume that its going to be a great set. I've been trying to catch him at the shop but so far he hasn't been back in. (Just to watch him perform a little more). If I do catch up to him I'll be sure to ask him for an update and if he knows anything more. I for one am pretty exited about this and I'm looking forward to it. Tim

The effects on the DVD and lecture notes are far beyond your abilities. (They require mastery of the mechanic's grip.) It would only break your heart. Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz.......(This post has got to be in my top 5.) |

I have to admit - if there is one product out there that fills me with anticipation, this is it.
My secret fear is that it will not live up to the expectation. Time will tell . . . Also, I hope that there is a lerning from the debate around the WJ set . . .

There was a video ( now on DVD ) with Rob Stiff teaching magic. There was some card flourishes he taught and he in fact is quite talented with the pasteboards. To be that good, he must love magic.
