Yes I have just started doing productions of cards and I can backpalm pretty well but I'm having trouble getting it to the front of hand to show the back of my hand. Any advice is useful, thanks. eric Smile

Hi Eric,

This call the pivot move.

It show that both side of the hand is empty.

This problem occurs to those people who have short fingers.

Try to use the thumb to pull back if you can't use the fingers to pull back.

I often use this method and the effect still works.

As time passes, you will not use the thumb anymore..trust me this works.

Any more doubt please message me...

The pivot move is not really meant to show your hand empty on both sides but rather a utility move used to get the cards into a different position in your hand for other types of productions. I use the pivot move after I vanish a small fan of cards. Once this registers to the audience I bring my hand down to my side and perform the pivot move. Than I start producing the cards using a snap production.

The pivot move looks like a lot of hand washing if you try to vanish a card and show your hand on both sides, it's diffcult, has bad angles, and doesn't look natural.

Pickup Jeff McBrides art of card manipulation dvd/video 1-3. They are great! http://www.llpub.com
