Someone is including the secrets to Psychokinetic Time in his product. Would Mr. Banachek (or anybody) be able to do anything at all about it?
The CD is being sold on E-Bay and a local auction site Lelong.com.my.

May I suggest that you contact Banachek at
Banachek@banachek.com , and let him know what you found. Hope this helps.

At least ebay should seize the auction.

I doubt that the methods tipped on the CD-ROM are the correct ones. Remember the Masked Street Magician and his so called exposures? They were a joke.

I don't know if all the exposures were a joke (although the watch one was), but the nailwriter was not a joke.
While they were exposures they were not tutorials and I feel a decent magician could fool anyone that saw the show with those same tricks. In fact, I did, to someone who saw the show. I did it the same night they saw the show. But I would not put it past some of those eBay people to just more or less copy Banacheck's routine onto the CD-Rom. I've seen things on eBay like other people selling video explanations of tricks in other people's books. Matt |

I've also seen cut-price (probably pirated) Wonder Words tapes on EBay. Mind you, Kenton Knepper's website contains some very vitriolic words for these pirate purveyors so I'm guessing he'll be shutting them down soon, and quite right too!
Unfortunately it seems like this kind of copyright infringement has found a happy home on the web. There must be some way to police it though... Mathew. |

The best way to police it is for all ethical magicians to boycott these sellers.
If some unethical people want to avail themselves of these copies then they will never prosper. What goes around, comes around. |

The problem is, most buyers are laymen wanting to "know".
I have made multiple complaints to Lelong.com.my. Despite the promise that they will take the seller's posts down, until now there is no action. I was childishly hoping every magician in this forum would write to Lelong administrator, bombarding them until they are willing to really take the posts down.

I am also worried for the buyers. If a person steals books and scans them into CD, who is to say he will ever deliver? And does the CD really contain what it says?
Let's not forget: if a magician wanna-be buys that and gets ripped off, he will blame magic dealers and magicians. He doesn't know they are pirated; he thinks that is the way to acquire material. |
