Jamy Ian Swiss has a long enthusiastic review in the may issue of Genii about this very book.

I received my copy yesterday. Words fail me but I will try.
First: Wow I always expect great stuff from David Regal. His effects are top notch and his advice concerning performing are priceless. Remember folks, this is a person who plays in the entertainment big leagues. David's essays in this book should be required reading for all performers. Second: Wow This book like David Regal's previous works is simply an aesthetic joy to behold. Nice tight binding, excellent page stock, clear photos, and a pleasing yet understated dust cover. This is one of those books that just exudes quality when you hold it. Again, the same high quality as his earlier releases. David Regal's love for magic shines brightly in this great book - truly a labour of love for the art he loves most. Third: Wow Given David Regal's phenomenal contributions to the art one might think that he could rest on his laurels. But, he has raised the bar instead. This book will be a classic in very short order. Every book is a labour of love just as every music composition. This is an eclectic collection of real workable, S T R O N G magic. When you read this book you cannot help but be swept up by David's passion for our great art. Frankly I feel renewed. I have been so busy with music these days that I have not had time to give my magic the attention it deserves. This book has made me feel much like I did when I started doing magic long ago. His writing stands with the best authors in our art including Harry Lorayne, Roberto Giobbi, Stephen Minch, and others. To me, this is a rarified group and David belongs in this group. Fourth: (wait for it)......Wow!! Granted, I have had only one day with this book, but I have to say already that just in this short time I have found stunning material that begs to be performed. Someone said that David Regal feels this is his best work to date. He is entitled to his opinion of course. It is a great book, but that is what we have come to expect from David. David, if you are reading this: all of your books are great. A presumption that a work one produces is one's best is of course subjective but please do not think that in any way are your previous works any less amazing! I have purposely avoided describing any of the effects in this book and I will not mention my favourites. As Michael Weber says in his Foreword, you will actually have to read the book yourself. But, sisters and brothers in the art, I guarantee you are in for a great time - a time that is borne out of a genius's love for this, the greatest of the performing arts. Thank you David Regal. A very deep bow to you! Best, Vlad |

Vlad.........very eloquently put. I am already sitting next to my mailbox waiting for the delivery and now you've raised my anxiety level a couple of more degrees. I too agree David's previous works are a wonder to behold and it definitely sounds like this latest is sure to be equally matched and even better.

Oh, man. I am going to be so broke...
Thanks a lot, David. Do me a favor and put out some junk, will ya! Plenty of other guys do it. I can't take all of this "high quality" stuff that I feel compelled to purchase!

I bought book #1 from Mr Regal at 4F last week but haven't had a chance to take it out of its shrink wrap yet!!! All I can say right now is that it is the same size as his other ones but much thicker... ha! ha! ha! Once I catch up on my sleep and as Mr. Regal puts it, refamiliarize myself with the sight of women, I'll go through it and write my impressions...

Is there any notice given if the book is shipped to a particular person, or is it a surprise when it shows up?
Just a little excited about this. John |

I keep checking this thread everyday to see reactions to this phenomenal book. It seems that two things are occurring. First, some have not received it yet and second, those who have are lost in it!
Anybody reading this should really consider buying this book if you haven't already. No need to take my word for it of course. The notoriously tough Jamy Ian Swiss gave it a glowing review in Genii. Well, back to purchasing socks for me ... when you get the book you will know what I mean Best, Vlad |
