This ties in with the whole Ultimate Magician's Jacket thing because it’s appropriate for managing the perfect jacket.
For those who don’t know of the magician Rocco, I highly recommend you check his work out on sleeving. Rocco is a master at sleeving , and when I saw him perform then lecture on sleeving my vanishes and reveals improved dramatically. Also check out the sleeving work of Carl Cloutier, and Johan Stahl.

I saw recently that some magic shops are carrying books and DVDs on the lecture of Geoffrey Buckingham.

I'm old enough to have actually seen the lecture. I think some places have it on DVD, too. He was a master of loads and steals. He would show in his lecture how he loaded everything. Then he would do his act and say, "see how many you can catch." It was mind blowing. He'd do multiplying billiard balls for both hands with no s****. If you pick up those notes, it will give you the plans for putting together the ultimate jacket for just about everything you want to do. The key is find a good alterations person to help get the all the pockets in the rights places. Then load up your jacket and then go back and have it altered to fit right WHILE it's loaded. Then you'll get a proper fit without looking like you've gained pounds.

I'm going to get this done with a tux jacket I was lucky enough to find for $6 at a Goodwill store.

Thanks for this post. A lot of great ideas here.

It's me! The Great Magicray!

I live in a hot, humid climate (Florida)and usually wear a tee shirt and shorts. Anything heavier and you feel like you're in a sweat lodge. Wearing a conventional suit or sport jacket is out of the question. When my wife was in the hospital, I noticed that many of the doctors wore lab coats or consultation coats.

I needed a jacket for many of my effects so I went out to a medical supply house and found the perfect solution. It's a white, very light cotton consultation coat with 5 pockets outside and 4 pockets inside. Love it! Cost only 20 bucks. I throw it on, roll up the sleeves and I'm ready to show off. You can customize it in a variety of ways, fabric paint, tie-dye, etc. It's also opaque enough to accommodate pulls, a topit, body loads, etc.

Ray, you ought to post this on the thread about performing in hot weather. This is great for the price. I'm getting one.

Here's that thread:

Can you please give more details about the Geoffrey Buckingham DVD you are referring? Is that the L&L one?

Thank you

Here is a Sports jacket with 23 pockets. Its not for magicians but I'm sure there are plenty of pockets in the jacket that will be useful for storage:

I have just received one of these Sports jackets with 23 pockets
http://www.scottevest.com/v3_store/SeV-Sportcoat.shtml

There are many pockets but one in particular is an iPad pocket on the left inside of the jacket. It measures 18 inch along the bottom hem from the button section of the jacket. the pocket height from the bottom hem is 15 inches.
I believe this could easily be converted into a Michael Ammar type topit or similar without too much work.
One thing I noticed is that there are no traditional inside breast pockets in the jacket but it does have 2 inside pen slots on each side of the jacket.
If anyone wants more information on this, just ask.
Kind regards
