Given that the use of "broke the chain here?" was in the present tense then, and it's the past tense now, what constitutes a "broke the chain here?" violation when E.E. posted his question?

So if the break was at E.E.'s location where he was at ("here"), to us it was "there", which means the locations offset each other and as a result his post was nullified by being neither "here nor there"?
