I heard that to get wrinkles out of silks you wash them and then dry them. Smile

I also heard to keep you silks in ziplock bags.

Wonderman,

Where are you? If I'm lecturing near you somewhere, this is covered.

The best way to get wrinkles out of silks is to just iron them. When you can't iron them (no iron) wet them and stick them on a glass mirror. They will dry an peel off surprisingly flat. Ironing is better but there are times when that is just not a choice.

ZipLock bags work well. I just think of them as a magician's luggage.

Enjoy your silk magic.

Good advice, Bob.

By the way, it was a pleasure to see you at the Nashville Ring swap and sell.

Hope to see you again real soon.

Thank you, Sir David.

I enjoyed it too. Lucy claimed my auction bargains as soon as I got home.

Next month (April 18) the Murfreesboro club is having Magic Ian as a lecturer. It's a good one. Go if you can.

Wonderman,

If you are new to silk magic, another good investment is a can of Static Guard. (Spray the magician!) It will make life easier.

Good Luck!

Hmmm, my ears were ringing. I heard someone was talkin about me.

So Bob is telling how to take care of silks. When he was at my house, there was a room I didn't show him. It has barrels of old silks from shows and conventions. I never ironed em', I just chucked them in a barrel. Then I fish some out once in a while and sell them by the bagful at the local clubs.

Then, insult to injury, Bob showed me some of his silks. Now I have to sell all of my perfect silks to make room for his stuff. But actually, after Bob's lecture, I took those un-ironed silks and used them as fountain of silks productions. Those unironed creases give them a little volume when they are produced.

My wife irons some of my silks when I am not looking cause I am such a lazy slob.

Ian,

There are some wrinkles in me too. Maybe that explains the added volume as I have gotten older!

Please don't let them iron me.

Bob,

It was great getting to meet and spend time with you. Your lecture (last night) was great, and your selection of silks for sale was dizzying!

Chis,

Thank you. I always enjoy the crew there. Hopefully, I'll get invited back someday. SEAM will be in August in Atlanta. Hope to see you there.

You were a great host! Things worked out very well.

I try to bring enough silks to give people a choice. LOL We had well over 6000 pieces there. For some reason in Knoxville, they just like orange!

Come see us in Alabama.

The only way I have done it is by soaking them in cold running water and laying them out flat to dry.

It works great.
