Hi does any one use British currency for this trick? I'm having problems making the gimmick.
The notes need to be the same length and depth. Any one have any ideas? |

I'm not familiar with British currency but, if the bills are close in size you can trim the larger bills to match the smaller bills. If they are too different in size, try other currency. (U.S. works great). Or if you must use British, you can try magazine or newspaper clippings to switch to British. All said and done, everything must be the same size. Hope that helps.

Describe how you took a trip to the u.s. and use us bills...or better yet, find a bill of the same size to the pound and make the gimmick go from pounds to the other currency...this way you can describe how you can beat the exchange rate.

Well unless you can get your goverment to make all the bills the same size you're pretty much out of luck.
When I was doing this effecdt twenty years ago (before it's orginator taught it to all the new guys who have released their versions) I used Canadian and US currency. Canadian bills were a bit smaller than US bills and I had to trim the edges. No one from either country seemed to notice. If the size isn't great you may be able to trim your bills. People can't differentiate a variance of less than ~15% so unless is realy ruins the appeareance (part of a face missing, or etc.) you might get by. A better option might be to change English currency into Euros and talk about the exchange rate. |

Help - I do not do any of the versions, i.e. Heiny 500, Hundy 500, Extreme Burn. I would like to invest and purchase one of them, but am not sure which is the best. A friend of mine does the Hundy 500 extremely well, but I'm not sure with these others on the market which I should purchase.
I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thank you.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them really. I am sure people who do Hundy say it is the best and the same for the others. Personally I do Extreme Burn and love it. There are a lot of different changes you can do with it depending on the situation.

Extreme burn is pretty sick. If you haven't seen it look for the demo!! (It's not trick photography)

Amazingly, I saw R. Paul Wilson to the best version I've seen. And I think I've seen them all. And guess what? He uses the original Pat Page Version, but his handling just blows you away. It is so simple and so clean compared to all the complex setups.
Fred Kaps, arguably none better, also used the Pat Page version. And to avoid the problem of currency size variations... used pieces of slick magazine pages cut to size. Believe me it works. Here's Kaps' handling of Pat Page's Easy Money. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k1IabuJ9EE

Well revmike, the gimmick doesn't change, so get the cheapest. Once you have the gimmick made, and some handling down, talk to some other magicians about different handlings. Magicians love to talk to other magicians.
