Hi, I'm familiar with rope magic, but I've never done it outside of professor's nightmare. I have a lot of head knowledge, but more on a routine for routine basis. There are huge gaps in my knowledge of the basics.I would like to start doing rope work and need sources.Thanks.

I would start with this post and go from there, we discussed a lot of good beginner effects recently:

For years I performed Slydini's cut and restored rope routine from the Karl Fulves series. Now I am using the Fiber optics routine with a few knot effects thrown in.
Sources in addition to the books are: Fiber Optics extended version Dennis Loomis knot DVD Daryl's Fooler Dooler's DVD Also there are many rope routines in the Tarbell Course in Magic. Michael |

I really think the Fiber Optics Extended is an awesome set of routines, I had very little experience with Ropes except for PN, and Cut and Restored Rope. Just basic beginner stuff. Richard Sanders is a great teacher. I find that none of the material is above my head. I just take it slow and easy
