Firstly, to be transparent for want of a better word, I'm good friends with the good Doctor...he was the first magic fella I met in fact... We often swap little bits and pieces of work between us, I even did the cover for his booktest, and he's helped me out with feedback and thoughts on my work too... So, with that out in the open, I'll just point you to a review by someone else, here: http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic24333-0-asc-0.php So what can I add? well, its a very atmospheric piece, there's lots going on, which means, there's lots of opportunities for emotional peeks and troughs as it were...building tension, excitement, and all those in between... the instructions are very clear, and well presented...and I feel its very good value for money, I've not performed it yet - but I will do..i have a little gathering to attend to soon...multi-phased, classy, based on facts too just to add to the creep out factor... well done mate... http://www.metaphysical-magician.co.uk/ You'll have to answer two questions to get into his products section.... http://www.metaphysical-magician.com Tell a lie - here!

This is a 'modular' and flexible routine that plays well for small group and large group settings alike, as the full routine or as an historically based book test.

Website is great, very classy.
This piece has the look and feel to it of Luna. I saw the link to Outlaw, and review from Roth there as well. This has to be good. All the best John |

The Condemned is actually a beautiful piece of theatre. More like an entire routine rather than a single trick, but what a routine!
I was lucky enough to see Todd perform it in person and it was easily the hit of the night. If you are looking for something with oodles of atmosphere and plays well as both a story and some really strong mentalism then this is it. You really need look no further. I mentioned it was atmospheric before, but that isn't the end of it. The subject of witch hunts is one of those things that so many people have a fascination for and as such you are on to a winner before you even start. People would watch this even without the mind blowing effects that are taking part throughout. I have it and I am still finding my own style with it at the moment. I don't want to do it exactly as Todd did, although that would be so easy, but rather I want to make it work for me, but when I am ready I will definitely be using it in a professional situation. The methods are all fairly easy which is great because it means the whole work is on the presentational side, and it is this which I think is the make or break of any piece of mentalism. I suspect "The Condemned" is going to sell well. In many ways I hope not. (Sorry Dr. T - the fewer people that know about this the better). |

Thanks for the reviews gents! This has sparked some interest for those in Salem, and you could link it to Arthur Miller's The Crucible and McCarthyism....
