Hey guys. We should compile a list of the most essential sleights to learn in order to cheat at poker and maybe the best variations types of that sleight. I'll start it off.

False shuffles
Mucking
Riffle stacks
Nail Marking
Peaks
Blind Cuts
Cut locations
Palming
Stock shuffles
Cull shuffles
Deck switches

I think those are the more important ones. I'm not sure what the best ways of doing them are though. I think that the Zarrow shuffle is the best way to have a go at a false shuffle. I'm not sure though. Please tell me if I was wrong about any of the above sleights or missed any out. Or if you think that there is a particular peak or muck or whatever that is the best. Thanks in advance for the help =).

Why would anybody who knew what they were talking about contribute to your list?

Don't you think folks who post in this forum already have all the answers you seek?

.........and why do you think they would share those answers?

Because they're 14 years old?

Wait...maybe then they really wouldn't know what they're talking about.

I have to think about this some more.

Sinch, there is no such thing as the essential sleights and certainly your list is not essential.

I recommend you study the game and become intimate with it.

Your question is something time will tell. also there are better shuffles than the zarrow, yes its good, but there are so few who can actually do it well - gambles and magicians.

I have this .25"x.25" mirror with double stick tape that I use for peeks. Any sized boxing gloves (look for 16 oz. they conceal the most) is great for palms and especially mucks. No one will see it.

Actually, kcg, false deals and punch work are "NOT" essentials either.

Having a thorough knowledge of the game is the essential one should have.

Talking about the Zarrow, David Ben's article in Genii was superb.

When discussing cheating at cards age equates to experience (in most cases).

Also being smart does not equate to being experienced. Just like having knowledge doesn't equate to having wisdom.

Magician8 your post history shows you don't know. I strongly urge you to sit in silence on this topic... don't get cocky! getting cocky is a sure way for folks not to let you in on other things

You're right, 8. I was generalizing. I guess I'm an idiot. Sorry. Please forgive me.

I'm getting old and stupider by the minute.

Hey, I just realized I'm the only one in this thread with an AVATAR!

Yippee!

OK, I look like a retard in my avatar, so go ahead...pour abuse on me...I look like a retard and...I AM a retard.

But I love you all.

And I own a pack of Black Tigers. So I obviously know what I'm talking about.
