We're allowed to use Google? Oh. Then what's the point? I thought this was a kind of trivia game, not an exercise in googling skills.

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing the title of the Edward Van Sloan/Karloff film, "Trick For Trick" was not readily known, and that Lyndel may have found it by Googling it from something like the IMDB. If not, I bow in his presense. If he did, I consider that no fault. Heck, the Millionaire phone-a-friends do it all the time.
Regarding the movie in question that I posed. I know the movie, because I have a copy of it here, that I taped from TV many years ago. I did however, Google for the title of the other film, "Before I Hang", another film like "Frankenstein", starring both Karloff and Van Sloan. This did not indicate that the film I used in my original question also starred Karloff. He does not appear in it. This was used as a clue toward the name of Van Sloan only, which Lyndel nailed. Considering there is no plot summary for "Trick For Trick", info on that film still names specific characters as being assocated with magicians. It was a great deduction, I think. It took some work to dig it up. By the way, the title of the film with Edward Van Sloan performing a quick Zombie routine is, "The Mask of Diljon". It also has a great scene of a chair suspension going about as wrong as one can. Now, someone squeal like a pig, so stoneunhinged will sound closer to normal. LOL.

Oh, I'll guess that this is a bit of a trick question and say, "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"?
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

At the Oscars once, a nominee for BS Actress ;^) did not win, got up, walked to the kitchen, cried a bit, and then went to the winner to congratulate her.
Both were nominated for the same film. What was the film, and who were the actresses?
