Hello All,

Is there a good memorized deck that I can buy via download? I want a stack that can be used for several effects and can be cut two or three times and still be usable.

I know the Si stack and I have purchased the BCS / MBCS and they are all good. However I am looking for something else. I was going to buy Stack Attack! from Lee's site but I would like a few more options. And I don't think that Stack Attack is a memorized deck?

Any help would be great,

Thanks!

Greetings Altrez;
I would think a good start would be the book, "The Six-Hour Memorized Deck" by Martin Joyal. There are so many in that book to choose from, and it would be a lot less expensive than buying all of them out there to find the one that suits you best.

This book gives you pros and cons on each one, along with handling tips, and ideas. It is a very wise investment.

Just my two cents worth

Hey Marty,

I noticed the book is out of print? Is there a PDF for download somewhere? I like to buy all my books in electronic format. I believe its better for the environment. Yes you may call me a "tree hugging hippie" Smile

Thank you,

Greetings Altrez;
If you shop around, there are still some out there in places.

I do not know if Hermetic Press is putting this out as an e-book or not. I kind of doubt it as I have not seen any of their books released that way yet.

I hugged a tree once in a drunken stuper, she smacked me.lol

Altrez,

Go to Simon Aronson's site: simonaronson.com Here you can download FOR FREE his memorized deck lecture notes. It includes his awesone stack. His site also has some great tricks too.

Simon's site will also tell you what is included in his stack.

Marty,
I to once hugged a tree in a drunken stupor. The result was a bunch of little toothpicks. Smile

Altrez,

Check out stackview.com

You can download the stackview program which will help you memorize any stack and it has many stacks (including Ireland's, etc)included.

This site is a valuable resource and the stackview program is also FREE! Nick Pudar is a really nice guy.

Since you asked about stack-attack earlier, I think it's a good buy. It's not a true memorized deck stack, but there are a lot of good routines that require little skill (outside of a decent false shuffle). I don't use many of the effects in the PDF, but I get good reviews off of the ones I do use. Hope that helps Altrez!

Thank you for stackview.com mention. It looks great.

I've gone and got the Aronson stack down after only a few weeks. Hope I can retain it. I tred the Joyal stack (both of them) long ago and could make no use of it. My memory works better with just a card and an integer. Too many mnumonics gets in the way.

On Sunday, I posted several links on my blog constituting a Memorized Deck Online Toolbox, which includes many of the links mentioned here, plus many more you may find useful. All the sites mentioned in the links are online, free, and useful for anyone who is learning about a memorized deck.

You can take a look at the order of the most frequently used stacks via the Faro Shuffle Simulator.

As mentioned earlier, Stack Attack isn't about memorized decks, but the false shuffle taught in it can be very useful for memorized deck work.

Hello Altrez,

First and foremost, Stack Attack is not a mem-stack.
