Vent Michael Harrison has made it through the preliminary rounds and has taped a spot which will be aired sometime in late June or early July, whenever the series starts. He has a very good act so watch for this. Good luck to Michael!

Michael deserves to be there, he's got a great act. I just wonder how far he can advance - his sets are comedy, which don't work well in that tight format. Terry had the impressions and music going for him. Wish him the best!

I remember when Terry first appeared. The judges sorta sighed "Oh,... another Ventriloquist" until he got started and really wowed them because of the versatility of his act. Definitely not what they expected.

Realistically, as good as Michael is, what are the chances of the producers letting a vent win 2 years in a row? It ain't "America's Got Ventriloquists!"

...but the judges have eyes and ears for good talent...not just sob stories.

I mean,anyone can go there and tell a sob story yet sing or perform lousy, I'm guessing he/she will be thrown out.

Yes, the judges seethe talent BUT she becomes popular with the general public because of the back story. It's the same with a child singer on the show. He came out and sang very well, but was careful to tell everyone that he got bullied because of his singing. In the same way that she made sure that we knew she was singing to save her children.

It makes good television, but after a while the gimmick wears very thin.

You're not the only American male to find Jolie less than attractive. Years ago, at first glance she did look like something special, but now I find all of these "starlets" to be nothing more than cleverly photographed, slightly above average women.
