I'm looking to purchase in a large quantity, coloring books with a magic theme. I'm not talking about the effect where the book is blank, then colored... I'm talking about little cheap books you can hand out to kids to take home and color.
Anyone have any ideas where I can find these? Or am I going to have to get out the art pad and make one myself (which leads to the question: How do you color a stick figure?). |

I didn't see anything on http://www.circusweb.com that had anything to do with buying magic based coloring books. Did I miss something?

How many per case? Do you have to buy in MAJOR bulk?
Update: Quote: The regular size (8.5 x 11 page size) are .35 ea in cartons of 500 or .40 ea if we break a carton + shipping. The large (10 1/2 x 12 1/2 page size) are .45 ea in cartons of 200 and .60 if we break a carton + shipping.

Check out The Oriental Trading Company. They usually have lots of cheap items that can be used as giveaways. I know I have seen some coloring books in their catalogs before.

Take shots of your show and then simply outline the photo image using tracing paper. No real talent required and you won't have a stick figure. The coloring book will then be about you. That is who they want to buy after all. Once you have artwork, the above company can produce your book for you.

There are also computer programs that convert your scanned photos into line drawings. Easier than tracing.
I took my photos to a local student artist, who drew 2 different colouring pictures for me (not characatures). - Donald.

No. These are not "magic" colouring books, with drawings that colour in by magic. Child labour is involved! >>> It sounds like these are the books that the kids paint on with a brush and plain water and the colours magically appear.

Ok, not only is child labour involved, but so are crayons, pencil crayons or felt pens.
Emazdad, you are so funny giving me a rough time, but I know you are only teasing me. For clarification, we are NOT discussing Royal Magic's "A Fun Magic Coloring Book", or any products that work with a similar method. We are discussing regular, ordinary, everyday coloring books with a magic theme. - Donald.

I'm reviving this old thread to a) mention I have used these Graphics 2000 activity books for several years and been very happy with them and b) to see if there is any interest out there on having them printed in such a way so that we can each personalize them with our own contact information?
In speaking with the company about having my contact info printed on them it was made clear that it would be cost prohibitive BUT if we can collectively place a minimum order of 5,000 books, they will print a custom version that allows for a white space on the cover to place a mailing label. With this quantity I believe the price will be the same as it is now, around .40 cents per book... personally I sell them for $2 each so it's a good little money maker. Also they do make two sizes, 8-1/2" x 11" and 11"x14", the later of which is my preference since they look more valuable in that size. If you might be interested in this please let me know what quantity you could commit to and I will take it to the company to see what we can do... of course I just ordered 200 as is, but what ya gonna do?? |
