For anyone who has never seen Mike work live, you are missing out. For me, (and I'm sure many other attendees), Mike's midnight show has always been the highlight of the Hank Lee conclave. Some of the funniest, most outrageous stuff you can think of. The Sea Monkey, the clown drawing- amazing.
The last time I saw him, I laughed so hard everyone around me was staring at me. The fact that he wasn't listed as one of the 10 funniest in this issue of magic is a mystery to me. Anything Mike has to say about being funny should be taken VERY seriously... |

I remember meeting Mike on a Boston Best Cruise (booze cruise) once or twice (circa 84-85) when I was the boat photographer. I think I still have a couple of old b&w photos of him with his Mrs. Beasley and his very special binoculars that have nails spring out toward your eyes. Genius. And a nice guy.
