Hey Guys,
I was absolutely blown away when I saw this routine by Cyril Takayama. I believe this is the link, if not, it's in this special (part 5 or 7). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzN38IkpN......index=44 Anyone know where I can get this deck restoration/time travel effect or one similar to it? All I'm interested in is re-shrink-wrapping a deck of cards like that. I think re-wrapping a deck in plastic (even restoring the spade sticker on the top) would be a killer ending to any trick. Any help? |

Multiple shops carry the sticker seals. It makes it easy to replace the seal if you peel off the original carefully.
For the cellophane, if you remove it carefully, perhaps making a slit at the bottom, you can get a pretty good re-wrap on it with just a piece of clear tape. Nobody will ever examine the bottom of the cellophane. I believe that some re-sealing kits used to be sold in the past, but I'm not sure if any of them are still on the market.

This sounds similar to Darwin Ortiz's "Time and again" in his cardshark series. He explains how to carefully remove the cellophane without ripping it and how to open the card box with out touching the seal. It's an old gamblers trick to stack a deck and reseal it so it appears the deck is brand new. Ypu can do the whole thing with an exacto blade and super glue.
