Does anyone play guitar on this forum? What kind of music do you like to play? What kind of guitar do you like to play? I personally like to play rock and use an electric guitar. I do occasionally play acoustic. How about you!

I play a lot of classical. I use a steel string acoustic, although I would love to get my hands on a good nylon string acoustic.
I also play some rock, and love to learn anything new (when I get the time!!). I am just starting to get into more complex chords and strum patterns as I have only done finger picking in the past. I quite like the rhythm of folk/country music (check out the Soggy Bottom Brothers music!), but I would like to be able to play more 'popular' music so that I can sit down with a bunch of people and we could all sing songs. (It's kind of hard to sing along to Vivaldi/Beethoven, etc!)
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are

I play a left-handed acoustic-electric guitar. I mainly play punk and alternative songs (Green Day, Rancid, Bad Religion, etc.). However, I also play some "chick" songs (i.e. Tears in Heaven, More Than Words, Breakfast at Tiffany's) to impress the girls.

I have been playing for around four years, I play on an american strat and a 1952 Vintage telecaster... I am learning to play Joe Satriani material at the moment.
-Max P.S. Euan Bingham on the Café plays the guitar and has for a very long time. He likes to play Steve Vai

I, too, play a steel stringed acoustic.
I mostly play my own stuff but occasionally dabble in whichever song is in my head at the time my guitar is in my hand.

I've got an Epiphone EJ200 acoustic, an Epiphone Sheriton electric [when I thought I was the next Noel Gallagher !!] I've just bought a Squier Tom Delonge Strat ..... which I love!
I play in a band, but when I'm on my own I play anything from Crowded House to Feeder - whatever I feel like. A good resource for tabbed songs is http://www.olga.net |

Since I started playing electric I have had the opportunity to play a lot of different guitars, (Gibson, Fender, PRS, etc.) and my favorite BY FAR is Carvin.
Any other Carvin fans here? I'm ordering a Carvin DC150 next month! |

Another Axe man here! I play a Fender Strat ('57 Vintage Reissue) through a Hughes & Kettner Amp. I like to play Rock, Metal from time to time, Bluesrock, Funk, R&B etc.
If I had the money I'd love to play one of those beautiful PRS Guitars. |

I've been playing for the last few years, mostly with my Fender Strat, and a Marshall amp. It has a 'lil Screaming Demon and 2 Texas Specials. I play blues, rock, and metal. I like to play EVH, SRV, and Malmsteen stuff.

I have a 24 year old hand made Maton acoustic with a Martin pick up built in. These guitars are from Australia. Had it for about 20 years now. Great sound. Like to play country rock style music. Not too good with picking or reading music, just strumming and having a good time.

I don`t play guitar, but I like Eric Clapton very much. I often listen to his music while I practise. It makes the whole thing even more fun and reminds me of what can be atchieved in art, if you really do it with passion.

Fingerstyle Acoustic, mostly nylon string Romero classical but also own a Seagull steel string acoustic. Nothing electric here.
