Greetings, all --
Some weeks ago, I found that I had been nominated for "Best Performance Artist" in the annual readers' poll of the Providence Phoenix, the local hipster paper. I asked for your votes, and was very, very flattered when so many of you helped out. My thanks to all of you who took time to vote. Finally, the results are in. I lost, to Spogga (as I had predicted!). For those of you who don't know him, Spogga is a wildly talented musician (among other things), a really nice guy and a friend who has always been kind and supportive of me. Winning this category is well deserved, in my opinion. Look him up online, he's well worth checking out. I'm not trying to look like a gracious loser here -- seriously, he deserves this and I've already sent him my congrats. At least I didn't lose to the effing Dancing Cop! The "Effing Dancing Cop"? Boy that must be a complicated act... he should stick to just dancing... :)  When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth...
