Hey guys, iv been working on the misers dream for some time, and recently got the levent video, fantastic btw. he teaches a few nice productions from buckley and a alan shaw production that I really like.
my question what are some other resources for single coin productions. I'm partiularly interested in a method for producing from finger palm one at a time when multiple coins are in finger palm without just sliding them up. when one is left in finger palm, iv been using a production from david stone. any help on this or any other productions worth noting would be much appericated. I'm open to anything but backpalm work really, as its not very practical for me except during my opening |

He does a downs production if I remember, I'm doing a little of that already... sorta. I use more of a edge grip, even on small stage/ stand up, as I was never a fan if the downs "display" so as soon as I drop a coin into the bucket I produce another always holding a coin

Chanin had a great bit with single production of a coin(or other object) from beneath a cloth.
Reed has some nice stuff...slow down is 7 coin production and you have your one at a time... Myself I usually use edge or classic... Harris

There is a great production sequence on Cultural Exchange II which uses a move Apollo Robbins calls the Wislon palm. It enables a very clean & empty view of the palm before the production.

I love Sylvester's version of the Miser's Dream. Guess he could do it with a bucket if he wanted to but the way he does truly there is no need for a bucket...Now that's creative for you. It is a dynamic production sequence using his famous Sylvester's Pitch. Tremendous effect and IMHO I think everywhere (maybe even moreso) as amazing as the original.
*And oh yeah Josh, you might check the work of noted magician, Chris Capehart when it comes to the Miser's Dream. Marc DeSouza said, "...His Miser’s Dream borders on audience abuse, in the best way possible."

Hey Josh!
I just found this thread. Guys, I asked Josh outta the blue on Tuesday to do a 1-coin routine for me...just cuz I wanted to watch one from a guy that I knew could do it right. Well...I wasn't disappointed. Josh's impromptu 1-coin routine was AWESOME. We talked a bit about Miser's Dream too...I guess we're both doin' that with some regularity. I think Miser's Dream is the perfect platform for any coin work...this is probably age-old knowledge to you coin workers, but def. a new thought for me. Anyway. Josh, thanks for the show on Tuesday...and the 'lesson'. Good seein' ya and talkin. Chad |

I say also check out the sylvester the jester's DVD. I saw him doing his routine live a few times and it is just amazing. You could see a demo of it on the web, just google it.
