Yes indeed, Donald. You have to determine what you are best at doing and then base your systems and marketing around that. I have no problem at all talking to anyone on the phone. However, with me also working a day job, I have pushed the emphasis a bit more on the website (form submissions) and email as it allows me to answer questions and inquiries faster if I am at work or on the road. I can do it via my desk computer during lunch or even via my new phone. I also have response templates set up for the most commonly asked questions which also saves me valuable time.

I was proactive for the month of November with advertising and SEO. I have seen about 50/50 with email and phone. I have had 20 or more leads for November and closed 8 sales....I am not disappointed b/c that is a good closing rate!(from what others have told me..I should be proud of that closing rate) I could have closed even more except price was an issue or their date was already taken! Even if I understand the customers reasoning behind not booking...I still give them a call up and try to help them in other ways..recommend someone closer etc. This shows them that I care about their needs even though I am out of their price range or what have you... They are all on my list for next year, and will indoubtly be valuable wether they book or noT! Just the way I look at things
I do not think I would rely on just email alone for my bookings. Where are these 90% email closing rates comming from, and how do they apply to your demographic? Leave you customers a few options of how to reach you, but not to many. Be prepared to sale and close either way! Charles |
