I'm not saying they are jealous. I'm just saying there isn't a lot of love lost between some of those guys and the staff here.

Meh... Since they went "subscriber only" I have completely lost interest in what goes on there. I read that magazine every month -but I buy it from Misdirections Magic Shop in SF and am a little put out that I'm being "punished" for it...

If they want to keep it exclusive, they should print a code in every issue that lets you access the site for a couple of months. Then you wouldn't be punished for buying it from your local shop. Which they should be in favor of you supporting, anyway.

Actualy the Genii forum is no no longer subscribers only Richard Kaufman went back to allowing any and all to join the Genii forum awhile back. He posted that he liked it better when more magicians were able to take part in the fourm.

Actually, it looked like a fairly balanced discussion. Some people bashing, some being mildly sarcastic and some actually sopportive (sp?)
What the hey, every group gonna have some jerk-faces in it. ("Jerk-face" isn't the word I want to use, but I hope Steve lets me keep it!) The trick is just not to let them get to you. I remember a play I did ("Servant of Two Masters") where my character would shoot off Latin just to show how clever he was. (The director made him a magician so I could pull off a few things as well.) My particular favorite was, which I going to botch the spelling of badly, was; Illegetime non carbirundum!

Well...what's it mean? I studied Greek, not Latin, and can't understand either one.

"Don't let the ***s get you down" It is not my knowledge of latin that lead to that answer though.

LOL. I don't know for sure, but "Illegitimi" is surely b***tards" as ABC mentioned, and "carborundum" is likely a grindstone. So, I'm thinking that we shouldn't let them grind us down.
