Oh Gawd...I'm kidding! Couldn't resist a cheap line...that Orson Well's look scares me now.

The black is a great improvement. Now you can really see the mouth at a distance. I find the 2 things people comment on with my puppets is their eyes and their mouth and you got both of those things down pat!

Don't bend the legs at the knee since bird knees bend backwards to mammals. which won't look right on a duck.

When I get some cash, I'll be looking for a puppet.

Perhaps for a little extra you can have the sleeve where you insert your arm be a different color? I know everyone will already be aware that it is a puppet, but having that sleeve match the clothing you wear might be a little bit more convincing illusion.

Just a thought.

Marty,,,it's a CARTOON bird. Donald Duck's knees don't bend backwards nor do Daffy Duck or any other CARTOON Duck..despite Natural Law knees bending backwards are freaky on CARTOONS. Real Ducks also don't Talk and Red Peppers don't wear Hat's.

These are for the most part Vent Type Puppets and do not use 'sleeves' as you enter a gaping Hole in the back. Maybe Wanlu can add some blood and broken bones for the realism.

Same place...but without great wisdom and the vast knowledge of ancients...which I also wrote the same year I invented rope.

I could tell that you were as old as dirt, but out of respect I decided not to say anything about it.

Yeah, I know it is a cartoon duck, but this duck isn't walking and besides why not be accurate if you can? A straight leg is better than a wrongly bent leg, in my opinion.

The sleeve on the current puppet looks like it was made to match the body, which I think would be better if it matched the vent's sleeve rather than the white that it is.

No disrespect to my older-wiser Café-mate.

I'm not as old as dirt...just rope.

What if you decided to change outfits? Hopefully the figure will last longer than a shirt! I think the matching sleeve tends to blend into the puppet and simply helps to disquise the entrance point. You could always shorten or roll up the sleeve. Just something to think about. It ends up being a matter of personal preference.

Actually Tom got it on the nose...the sleeve can easily be rolled inside the puppet if you don't feel like using it.
