Thank you for starting the thread Gabe, and bringing this unique, yet not for everyone, effect into light. I think it is wonderful. Indeed, to each his own, but wonderful just the same...
Not everyone performs at kids parties Alanon, and can perform big boy/girl effects. These are the people that usually know when and where to perform them. And what context... And if I want to, to be specific, tell people that I am going momentarily take the body form of Christ and shout in tongues at them that they are all going to he ll then I have the right to, and don't need to give YOU any explanation to SPECIFICALLY why and or morally I wanted to or decided to do it like that... Destiny, I apologize ( not for anyones self centered behavior, for he cannot be taken seriously really.) for your beaten brow.It is sad to be honest, but unfortunately expected. For someone with so many morals, he surly have no people skills. Wounded is a thing of beauty. It is not your sponge ball routine, it is not you rocky raccoon, nor does it have anything to do with ... bunnies. For the performers who want to entertain... who want to let the audience make up their own mind. Any performance, performed correctly, should never leave the audience asking "how" something was done... ... Wounded is art. Dali is not for everyone... ... I have never see someone so insecure. Grow up. For real. MD

This will be my last post on the subject. I do not need to justify my purchase or use of any magic trick, whether it be sponge bunnies, an impression device, or "Wounded". Interestingly, it seems as though a "quest" has turned into a crusade and an inquisition.
I refuse to engage. Best, G |

Just as a point of interest and clarification, ALL of the concerns posted here on this piece are addressed on the DVD.
I’m not accusing anyone here of speaking out of their hat (or other 3-letter word) but before condemning something, one should be aware of what it is and contains. And that the producers did address these concerns in an ethical manner. This effect is not for everyone, either performer or audience, but it does fit some. Tony Iacoviello |

Why does this have to be presented in any type of religious context?
It doesn't. Also can this be done with the blood appearing elsewhere on the body, like your arm or stomach? And, can someone please review this who ordered the whole kit with supplies. Thank You |

I thought I already did review it/comment on it.
(See previous page.) And the answer to other locations is "yes." (Depends on which of the methods you use though.) Tony |

At the very least, as mentalists let's be honest. Why bleeding palms? Why not bleeding noses or ears or navels? Because there is a very specific context for bleeding palms that goes back many centuries. Anyone who thinks she or he is going to break out of that historic context with some sort of sophomoric narrative is both blind and arrogant beyond comprehension. The truth is that many, many people both young and old would consider this kind of effect blasphemous. Should I assume that because I don't happen to be one of them, I have the right to bulldoze over the sensibilities of those who do? Forgive if I snicker at such a sociopathic attitude toward performance.

Why not?
Bleeding palms is a no...But it was so "acceptable" for Angel to walk on water? or turn water into beer? I find that very " Blasphemous" ... The whole art of levitation for that matter. Magic is "blasphemous". If you can back it up... ... Thank you for your honest review of the DVD and effect... I am sure most here will find it... " useful." But if you don't happened to own the DVD or the ebook it is appreciated to keep opinions about an effect you only read a description of to oneself...

Which is why it is not allowed to be performed in certain venues, in certain parts of the country. There was a story in the news last week which you may have seen, about a teacher in Florida who was called a "wizard" and FIRED for making a TOOTHPICK DISAPPEAR! (You can Google it). That's right- the Florida school board deemed him a "wizard" and fired him for making a toothpick disappear!!! Heck, they'd probably throw him in jail for stealing his grandson's nose. Buy the premise, buy the bit. Or don't. |

Now that is scarey! The scariest moment I've ever had was after a private party performance. A large Hungarian lady followed me around for 2 hours wanting me to contact her dead husband. I finally relented and told her that he was fine. In fact, I even shared that he had been reincarnated as a rabbit in Tasmania. Morover that his love life in his new incarnation, was infinitely better. I'm still not sure how she took that. Hennessey
