this looks like one of the best tricks of the year so far.

Steve Fearson is the same guy who sold us a $6 child's magic trick and called it AMAZING!

Anyone who handles the gimmicked spoon will figure it out immediately.

I thought it was a fork by the video.

I'm not positive of this but it looks like the gimmicks are made out of both utensils.

It also says on the website that the spectator may handle the fork without fear of detecting the gimmick.

If this is indeed true, this will be a great effect. I wouldn't mind purchasing this when they make some more.

Direct from the website, here's the description.

"No Threads... No Magnets... NO BULL****

No sticky stuff either. Meaning, the silverware isn't attached in any way to the finger or object it's balanced on. For once, what you see really is what you get.

It's completely self contained and self working.

This illusion can be done surrounded. In full light... UP CLOSE. In fact, the entire trick can take place IN THEIR HANDS!

THE SPECTATOR ACTUALLY HOLDS THE FORK, so they know for sure that it's much too heavy to be held by an invisible thread or a hidden magnet.

There are no switches, no sleight of hand is involved."

Steve Fearson is still a great salesman but unless I'm performing for kids under the age of 3 I'd be careful with this. Even the description on the website tips off the method - See Below -

I'm sorry.

I wanted to like this...but the ad copy states... "The spectator actually holds the fork, so they know for sure that it's much too heavy to be held by an invisible thread or a hidden magnet."

Well yes...perhaps...but the spectator will also instantly know that they are suddenly attending a picnic. The fork even has extreme visual side angle issues not to mention the unforgivable bottom angles... and THIS I certainly did not expect.

Loved the demo though...I honestly mistakenly believed the materials used were fused together resulting in a prop that cannot be distinguished from a real fork. Kudos!

I have odd faith that this effect can and will be created with a fork with no angle issues...perhaps again by the brilliant Mr. Fearson...but this was not quite it.

Eddie, thanks for the honest review. I was debating on getting this, but you just changed my mind. I'll wait for the fork with no angle issues.

True, but if the spectator handles the fork in the way described in the instructions, they will not feel it. I've been performing this a lot and it gets killer reactions... I was at a wedding and during the reception I was doing a bit of walkaround. I'd palm the fork and sneak it onto the table, later using it to perform with... I personally use the card suspension.

If you were mislead by the ad copy, I explain why in my review in the Trick Review section.

The spectator never actually "handles" the "fork"...they have it balanced on their extended fingers by the performer.

Unfortunately...They will feel too little weight.

I can manage an audience...unfortunately my spectators are too familiar with real forks. I suspect they use forks everyday. All kinds of forks.

Darn!
