Holy crap. I'm glad I got in when I did. This might end up being the second best convention I've attended. (Sorry, but it's hard to top Tamariz).
Looking forward to it! Josh |

I'm still weighing out the possibilities, and If I don't get the job, I wil DEFINATELY be at SEAM. I should know within a few weeks. It is a great line up, and as of right now, I am looking forward to being there! I've been trying to break away from the Crazyness of the past few months schedules and bookings in order to make it back down to a ring meeting! I haven't been to Ring 9 since before Christmas...I need to get down there and see whats going on with you guys! |

We just added Max Maven's 2nd workshop to be held the day after the convention on Sunday. We sold out the first workshop on that Thursday (the day the convention starts). If you are interested in coming to a full day workshop by Max Maven then go to http://www.seam2008.org and check out the bonus lectures. This 2nd woskshop is sure to sell out as well.

I got my confirmation for competing in close-up, should be exciting. I'll be getting to compete with it two more times before SEAM, so hopefully it will be perfect.
Now if Harry or Max end up judging the close-up competition... |

I hope the wife and I can make this one. It's great that Harry Anderson will be lecturing. I do know that he will be assisting Ricky Boone with the dealer booth also, selling, and demoing. Harry Anderson items.

I'm glad to see that the close up contest is in the afternoon, tentatively anyway. At the Jubilee, it was at 8:00 in the morning, with a 7:00 meeting, which meant getting up at 6:00, and nobody ever sleeps the first day of a convention...
Hope it stays that way! |

Well, we can't all have ping-pong balls .
I've also been working on a few new subtleties for the act that will make it seem more impossible, but I still have a ways to go. Five years in the making and this is still not done. Oy vey! |

I have always hated that the closeup comps. are early in the morning. I wanted to be where people would be there and have good energy for the contest.

I remember the evening show I was a part of in Bristol last summer...Barry Mitchell and I were wearing almost the exact same thing...and since he was the MC, he thought it would be funny to borrow two balls, and walk out after my act and say (In my Georgian Accent) "Look...I'm Kyle In 35 more years!" He popped two of the balls in his mouth and they GOT STUCK IN HIS CHEEKS!!! HE HAD TO PUSH THEM OUT WITH HIS HANDS!!! The audience just thought he was being funny...but he got that worried look on his face; They were REALLY stuck! It was so funny! He walked backstage, looked at me, giggled, and said "I don't know how in the world you could do that...it's so painful!" |

David ... great job on Celebracadabra ... how unfortunate the slip up in the commentating during Lisa's Escape. I think that was the only moment that hurt and unfortunately it takes only a moment. You both did an excellent job and I enjoyed watching you both. I met you at SCAM about 3 maybe 4 years ago and you were fun to watch then. Love your you tube spoofs .... hopefully we will run into each other in Atlanta.
See ya real soon! PS: You are right you are not Harry Anderson |

I'm looking forward to seeing you lecture and perform David. It's weird, the other convention I'm attending this summer has Johnathan Levit lecturing. Must be the summer of Celebracadabra.

Well, I finally got my registration in and will be at SEAM '08! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there! I'm sure it'll be a great time...I just can't wait to see some old friends again!
I still haven't decided whether or not to send in a competition form at this one... it looks mighty tempting! How many people are signed up to compete thus far Ken? |
