The Magic Cafe Forums - new card book info (advert also)

George McBride has a new card book coming out at the end of the week called "Cardville".

I will be stocking it in the UK, priced at £12 plus £1.50 postage. $24 should cover book and airmail to the USA.
Cardville` is an A4 size spiral bound manuscript by George McBride. It contains sixteen card effects split into four sections with contributions from Roy Walton, Peter Duffie, Al Smith and Richard James.

Mirakill
A double prediction! The magician successfully predicts the colour and quantity of cards chosen by two spectators.

Sure-Fire Prediction

A prediction is made. Four cards are freely selected and added together. A representative amount of cards are then dealt on each. The card arrived at matches your prediction.

A Face in the dark

My handling for Stewart James’s 51 Faces North.

PLACEMENTS
In this section you will find no less than five unpublished procedures for the `Automatic Placement`.

DECEITFUL DEALINGS

This section contains three effects that utilise duplicates or double faced cards. Easy to perform magician foolers.

POT POURRI
Moralies

A lie detector routine where a small packet of cards diminishes after each question. The one card remaining turns out to be the selected card.

Humbug
A card is mentally selected from a small packet of cards.The magician spells to his lucky card, which surprisingly reveals the mentally selected card!

Missed Match
Two spectators each think of a number. Cards to represent each selected number are dealt onto the table. The top cards of each dealt packet are shown. They DO NOT match. These values are added together to reveal a twin match up!

Leap to Position
A mentally selected card leaps to a pre-determined position from one packet to another.

Ace de-Triomphe
This routine was put together by myself and my good friend Richard James. Its our handling for Marlo`s Vanishing Aces from M.I.N.T. There is a completely different opening sequence and an integration of Vernon`s Triumph effect during the re-production phase.
