Would love to hear about Café members' favorite routines with regular coins.

Does a production of a jumbo coin count as a gaff ?
If not, I would say a one coin routine with jumbo ending ... It has such a great reaction for me. |

My current favorite is a coin and purse frame routine by Tim Feher (cafe member) called 'Nothin or somethin'. Short and sweet.

Agent 61, I would love to see this performed. Where is it in writing?

It doesn't exist in writing, only as download:

I didn't wanna mention it right away as to not look like a salesman LOL
Well worth the $5. It's the routine I'm currently working on now that I finally found a chrome purse frame (me no like gold). |

I simply cannot hold a purse frame in a natural way without flashing coins. And I seem to have bought only tiny purse frames that you need to use all your strength and both hands to open. Anyway, his Grandma's Purse trick is even better I think, and it is being released in tutorial form soon as well. If it isn't already out. As for Gadabout Coins, see coinvanish.com for a free wonderful variation on this theme called "Sticky Coins". Great stuff!

I do like Dan's version on coinvanish. I use a different click pass than Sticky Coins, but this is definitely a fun one to perform.

Thanks a lot for the plug. I'm glad you like it as much as I. 3in purse frame is the way to go. I'm hoping to put something together for the Grandma's Purse routine SOON. Yes this is based off of Shoot's Neo Purse routine. The handling is alittle different you have reasons for what your doing not just doing sleights for the sake of sleights and also gave it an ending. Grandma's Purse is good for walkaround but I prefere Somthin or Nothin for walkaround because its quick and needs no set up. I use Grandma's Purse for more formal situations. Tim

and about gadabout coins I have my own litlle variation if I can call it that cuz I change mostly subtle things like transfers and I use my own click pass cuz it looks more natural |

I'll give another vote to Gadabout coins and then one for Roth's Hanging Coins. The edge grip work is a little frustrating at times, but the end result is great.

Wow, Gadabout seems to be getting a lot of votes. Who knew that an old routine out of Bobo would still be so popular?

Roth's "Hanging Coins" is a favorite of mine as are his "Winged Silver" & "E.Z. Coins Across".
I have no favorites. |

Wild coin by Roth is one of my favourites.
However I like impromptu coin magic you can do on the hands of the spectator. I believe that a good coins accross using spectator hands can be direct and effective |

Roth's expert copper silver. Can be done impromptu as long as you have 3 appropriate coins on you (I use 2p and 10p coins for this, here in the UK). You can do it entirely in the hands (no table) with minimal changes in the handling.

I like a lot of stuff but immensely enjoy Coins Across. I have a version of it I like to do called KrazyKoinZ Across and I have to say that it is a real favorite of mine. It's non-gaffed, uses just 3 coins and never ceases to amaze. Actually I have always thought that in a young man's life he should learn a little bit of magic and that one of the things any young man should have in his pocket and at the ready is a good Coins Across routine. Like a good pocket knife or slingshot, you need these things in life.
