I agree with Anthony on this one. It is TOTALLY POSSIBLE TO REMOVE SOMETHING FROM SOMEONE HYPNOTISED. In fact it is relatively simple. You can get certain suggestable people to do almost anything despite what many stage hypnotists claim.
And its not difficult at all. I think there is a wee bit of denial or mass pr at play with those that say the opposite. that's if they are hypnotised and average subjects in the first place. I have found myself on many occasions telling lay people you can't get anyone to do something they wouldn't otherwise do. When infact I know the opposite to be true. Some people are so suggestable. |

I agree with your post MP. I've also said the same thing... as many hypnosis books and sites do, but like you, I know that its just a friendly form of reassurance that's not entirely true, and that some highly suggestible people are in fact vulnerable to this kind of thing. Interestingly, Robert Temples book Open to Suggestion has a chapter on crime, where some people give accounts of being robbed by 'strange foreigners who approached and shook my hand in a weird way...' before going on to describe how they were fleeced.
Some people say if criminal hypnosis were possible it would be happening everywhere, my answer to that is that the required level of confidence and intelligence is not commonplace (although it is present) and also that to an extent, it IS happening everywhere if you think about the suggestible targets of salesman etc. |

Yes but most thieves are more ethical than salesmen...
Actually I have trained sales people in stage hypnosis audience management techniques. And the results were very dramatic. Just by being more directive and authoritative sales increased by as much as %400. This was for mercedes benz group. |
