Does anyone know where I can go to get more information on how to perform quick costume changes? I am just looking for ideas and basic information.

Thank you very much.

Hi Scaevola,

I also suggest to contact Lee Alex.
I bought his colour changing vest a few months ago plus a book and I am VERY satisfied with the quality of his products and the explanations and ideas in his book.

Regards
Dixie

Thank you Thomas and Dixie for the recommendations.

Scaevola, the vest is only one item that I produce. If you wish to contact, then I can help with other items of clothing too.
Yours Magically,
Lee Alex

Hello Lee,
Thank you for your reply! Your vests look awesome. I can only wonder at what the technique for the snow leopard vest must be. I might purchase your book when I get some money to invest into this project. Thank you!

Are there any other good books written on this subject?

The vests are NOT explained in the book "Quick Change" for two reasons:

1) I wouldn't know where to begin explaining the precise techniques in the written word.

2) I wouldn't want any responsibility from readers ending up in any kind of institution whilst attempting to recreate the vests! Smile

The Snow Leopard Vest was made in a small quantity only and is scarcely available now.

Indeed there is Slim King - "The art of costume change" by Yasuda (available from most dealers).
In July a new book will be released in three languages (German, English and Russian) by Sos and Victoria at the Magic Circle of Germany's annual convention.

Monique also put out a book... She is a very good seamstress/designer but you'll need to read it a few times to understand the designs,

Contact Lee Alex...he have the best products to make costume change!
He have a very good book...and get the best DVD from Yasuda! Is the best DVD where the principle of the art of costume change is there. About Monique...I´m sorry to tell you, but the Monique method is nothing with costume change, like David and Dania or others master of costume chnage!

There's a book out, translated by Lee and with pictures of Lex. Its a *** good book!As for Monique's book, Its really good to design an act for female changes but I felt the Video was extremely disappointing. Her presentation of the tear away costumes were not exactly well executed...If you get the video and book set, u'd know what I'm driving at. however, I do agree that she has very very good theories in print

Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.
