This is very forward thinking.

When homosexuality is made compulsory we will need qualified people for the implementation.

Lobo, was it the intent of your last two posts to type a lot and say absolutely nothing? Are you a lawyer?

It's a bit like having a secret code...you get to say things and know that only your intended audience will understand them. One of the best parts of the job.

When did higher education become job training?

Depends what you're studying. Certainly for law, medicine, accounting, etc., the answer would be "quite a while ago." Even if it's not "job training," though, the question is whether it's "job useful." Between tuition & other direct expenses and years of lost earnings, a college degree probably costs a few hundred thousands. Unless you have tons of money to burn, it would be nice if that degree made you somewhat more employable than a high school graduate.

Yeah Lobo, you're right. It was "quite a while ago". The good old days.

How many people went to college 100 years ago? In the US? One or two percent of the population?

What happened?

I spit on my education! I spit on my degrees! I wanna be a MAGICIAN!

When did it become something other than job training? When almost nobody went to college, weren't those few who did trying to learn how to become doctors, engineers, accountants, etc.? Haven't most of the completely-incidental-to-employability majors sprung up recently, along with the "professional student"?

I know the Q stands for Quantum Physicists but what does the extra 'T' stand for?

Are all of you saying that I am GAY? Is that what this thread is about? Why are all of you obsessed with my sexuality (or lack thereof)?

I'm not GAY. Really, I'm not.

Or maybe I am. But I don't think so. Of course, I'm not really sure what it means to be GAY. Does it have anything to do with SEX?

SEX...GAY...JEFF

One of these days I'm gonna write about a million words about Brokeback Mountain and how it changed my life.

But not today.

Today I will say this: what an absolutely ridiculous idea for a "major" at a college or university.

It makes me want to kill myself.
