I'm interested in knowing if anyone has purchased/used any of these marketing products (I won't mention any as I'm likely to be accused of being the author) out there (geared towards magic or not) and if they really helped? They're pretty expensive for a couple of cd's and a double spaced workbook. Would love to know your opinions, feedbacks, critiques, recommendations, and what helped (or not) as well as what you learned or didn't. AND if there's anything you've read, done or seen that has helped in your promotion and sales, getting jobs (restaurant, shows, corporate, etc.) what they were? Thanks to all in advance!

The ones I have seen are actually very good. Good solid marketing material based on classic material. If you want to go an 'end' run then go to Amazon and look up and buy the stuff by Dan Kennedy, a top flight marketing guru whose stuff rocks.
Much of what is out there is Kennedy material reworked for the novelty performer the which class magician's fall into. Stick with the inexpensive books the Kennedy has out like The Ultimate Marketing Plan, etc. Another good source are the Guerrilla Marketing books by Levin. Tons of solid ideas on marketing, pretty much anything. Best,
