I had an idea of doing a photo souvenir at the end of my fair show. I would have the person lay on the "spikes of doom" with me behind it holding up my sign that says they survived. I think it would be a great way to make extra cash at the end of the show. Every kid would wan't their photo on the danggg thing!!
Any one know a company that prints custom photo covers for this purpose? I searched all over and have had no luck. Thanks in advance! - Wade |

Have you checked with your liability insurer?

AWWW U must think it's the "Table of death" illusion. That would dangerous for sure!!! This is the audience version by Bill Smith. I perform this live in my show and would be a great souvenir photo for anyone at the end.
http://www.wadelive.com/spike1.jpg http://www.wadelive.com/spike2.jpg I hold a sign up after they have been spiked that says "I survived the spikes of DOOM with Wade Live!" I think it could make some decent cash at the end of each show. What do you think? |

Wade -
Try the phrase "photo folders" in your search engine search. (Some custom options were available on the site I hit, as well as a variety of generic designs.) I think that's what you're looking for. - Donald

Wade,
Have you cleared this with your fairs and figured out the set-up/sales method? I ask because I've worked the market for years, performing on the "free" or "grounds" stages. Most pitches I've seen are announced onstage and then sold to one side, usually as the next act is setting up, and finished before the next act goes on. (Unless it is an animal show - i.e. tigers, elephants, reptile that has their own area/set-up.) Depending on the turn-around at your stage, you may have to move everything to one side, which takes time that could kill sales. It may also irritate other acts if you are forming lines for the photo op while they are trying to draw and seat an audience. (Ticking off other acts can lead to a long run!) I think overall, the idea is a good one and with the proper planning could definitely add to your income. Good luck with it! |

Perfect! Thanks guys!
Tacrowl... U made a good point. I think there will be an act after mine on the same stage. Hmmm... That would put a damper on this idea!! |
