Has anyone done Miliken's transpostion with different coins like quarters and nickels instead of Halves and quarters since halves are becoming less common?
Also has anyone done the fugtive coins with quarters and nickels instead of halves and quarters? Just throwing some questions out there |

kakronen,
I am sure there is plenty of people that susbsititute their favorite coinage into different routines. Whether it is for personal preference, for common currency, or because they are in foreign countries, or they want to use bigger coins for greater visibility. An effect is an effect regardless of the coins used. |

I used to use English coins for it years ago. As Dan said, everyone swaps coins about and uses what is appropriate for them in size and currency. In fact you don't have to use coins.
Allow the routines you read and see to be starting point to work from rather than "the definite way it must be done!" Paul. |

Quarters and real chinese "cash" coins work well because this way shows off the difference between them. Regards, Gregg Webb

I prefer quarters and pennies. One of the few good effects in which you can borrow the coins.

I don't agree, respectively, that effect is an effect regardless of the coins used. Copper-sliver-brass is particularly deceptive because one of the coins has a hole in it. Also, contrast is a consideration. In an extreme case, a transposition using a nickel and a quarter would not be as visual as one that used a copper coin and a silver coin.
